Nice blade shape. Almost a tanto, but without the mall ninja tag that goes along with it. Looks like the main edge is a continuous sweep, I would have preferred a straight portion for the type of use this is aimed at, but the sweep is very subtle, so might not make much difference in use.

I'm not into skeletonized knives, so it's not something I would jump on immediately, but it would be nice if you share your impressions after some use.

Yes, I will do that. I like skeletonized knives because they are lightweight, flat and easy to clean (no scales) but at the moment I have small neck knife sizes only. I think the Trayvax will be a nice EDC fixed blade. I'm curious about the leather sheath because I guess that's Trayvax core competence.

Ordered two Christy Travelers as I found the grey appealing. I will probably get a brass Mariner eventually as well.

And there it is, the Trayvax Trek Field Knife (and the Cinch Belt).

For me it seems to be the perfect EDC fixed blade. Additional a small non-locking folder - both are legal to carry in Germany - and it would be a good setup.

If these grooves on the blade are usefull I need to test the next days and weeks. This condensed belly looks like a tanto blade without the edge. There are marks from the CNC machining all over the blade. Not sure if it´s a bug or a feature. The jimping looks good but is not very useful.

It fits perfect in my hands and even it´s a skeletonized knife there are not much hot spots.
PM2 and SAK for size comparison.

Two minds about the leather sheath for horizontal and vertical carry.
One one side it looks awesome and I really like it. But on the other side I like a skeletonized knife because it´s so hygienic and easy to clean. With an easy to clean kydex it would be a good combo also. And although Trayvax has improved the flap it can be cut by the blade.
Maybe I should have a kydex sheath in addition so I can switch between them.

Would I buy it again? Immediately! :)

These are my two newest Cold Steel Scouts. The all-black version was modded by me, and then the new, green DLT version:

    Inbound long term.
Decided to give the TRC/DBK collab knife a try.
I’ve been wanting to try TRC for a while, but couldn’t quite get myself to pull the trigger. The DBK model is one of their more appealing knives for my use, and in the event I don’t like it, it’s probably easier to flip than their regular catalog knives.
I could do without the DBK branding though, but that’s the only con I see at this point. If everything else is good, I’ll live with it.
Kickstarter ends in about a month, delivery in 2022.

I love the recurve on that blade! A :censored: to sharpen, but I love the way it looks. That's a beauty at $20.
