Like the white handle. Had my eyes on a small custom hunting knife with ivory handle a little while ago. Problem was, it was located outside of Europe. Seller had no papers and although it was from the 50s, I could not have legally imported it.

Did you really think you could drop that beauty here and not tell us anything more?

Oz Machine Company Roosevelt, made in Indiana by a husband & wife team. A little pricey, but I prefer to support small business when possible. USPS says Friday delivery, but nearly every package I've received over the last month or so has been days or even weeks late so no idea when it will actually get here.

Yeah, ivory is taboo, nowadays. This is micarta.

The price is a little prohibitive, but man does it check a lot of boxes. Bearings and milled clips isn't my jam, but the rest was awsome juice. Hope I forget about it before their books open again :)

Mine suffered a little tip wobble that I couldn't satisfactorily eliminate. It wasn't a "glaring" issue but I asked Asher Knives about any remedy... and I was given top customer service. Justin sent me a replacement Nomad. This one has no real tip wobble to speak of. Action is firm, but smooth and "flickable." I also got this one with a white G-10 spacer in place of the stainless steel spacer (still included though). I like the look of it, kind of "Oreo cookie" like. But this knife is pretty much the EDC I was looking for. The weight, profile, length, action, and steel, plus minimalist design, all work very well together.

When people don't think much about customer service, it's because they've never needed it. When a Chinese brand knife has a problem, good luck in getting it dealt with if it's not a high tier brand (like WE, Realte, etc.). Can't imagine Ganzo providing this level of service.

The inlay on this is really nice. Gorgeous handle. I'd buy this knife just for that, I think. Wouldn't even care what steel it is. :smoke:

If I find myself with $700+ spare cash to spend on a knife, I'd probably get this one:

Agree with you on the 'high tier' Chinese knives vs the 'lower', e.g., Ganzo...although I've had a few via Amazon. For the cost, they're decent value. Never had any quality issue that would have prompted me to seek service. But then, I can count on the fingers of one hand even knives NOT made in China that needed service. Biggest example are so many Case knives that arrived not sharpened that I just stopped buying them. Only other real example were Cold Steel -- I forget which model but the Tri-Ad lock was so stiff I returned it to the seller. Otherwise I've just been blessed with knives that for me at least have been fine from across the spectrum.
