I’m from Canada and our dollar isn’t doing so well. Guess I’ll have to hold off until later when things get better.

I know it’s gotten some mixed reviews and it’s definitely annoying that you have to buy the pocket clip but I do think I will personally like and use it quite a bit.

I have too many knives already BUT, REI has a members 20% off sale and I had a $10 dividend from a sale jacket last year so I bought a Benchmade Bugout with the gray blade and ranger green scales. $113 shipped. I'm a fan of the Griptilian line and carry a Mini-Grip daily. What appeals to me about the Bugout is that it is very light as it's designed more for hikers/backpackers. I have plenty of heavy duty knives for serious work but, for me, my daily carry is more just to always have a knife. I carry a Victorinox Ambassador as well and 99% of the time, that's the knife I use as it has all the little tools that are useful day to day. I think the Bugout may become a replacement for EDC.

I still have my Spydie PM3 stuck in the system and our postal service is considered non-essential during lockdown.

I have bought a Cold Steel Black Bear Bowie and a Schrade Lld Timer Copperhead Oak from heinnie.com

I like cheap but functional knives. The CS will be mainly used as a garden tool.

    Thanks, Jeff!

That's one I haven't seen from SOG, it's quite interesting. SOG is definitely trying to up-their-game. On another note: KaBar is doing a 'fixed-blade' collaboration with Spartan; called the Damysus. From what I understand, in Greek Mythology Damysus was from a race of giants, who waged-war on the Olympians. MSRP: is $195.00 USD.

I have a bunch of knives and the Bugout is what I edc the most. I usually don't mod my knives but I got new scales for 2 of my bugouts because I like them so much. Actually, these are the only 2 knives I've modded.

    yep, that happens a lot

It is a sweet design for sure. I hike a lot, but haven't really found a place for it in that role, but I can easily see how that might be the designers intention.

It's one of those knives that can replace your EDC even if you didn't intend it to

same experience here. I would like to carry some of my other knives more often, but the Bugout is so practical, so light and so unnoticeable.
I have no plans to mod my ranger green Bugout. The softness of the scales doesn't bother me. It's a well balanced design where every little detail seems like a deliberate decision towards a very specific end goal. Can't ruin that. However I'm a bit tempted to get its little brother and although I like orange quite a bit, I just might dress it up with some carbon scales

I also jumped on the Bugout wagon. CF Elite on the way!

I had no complaints with the grivory scales either but since I used the blue one so much, I was curious how it would feel with G10 or CF. The top one in my pic is the BHQ exclusive, not the CF Elite. It's brand new so I left it alone but was tempted to put the CF scales on it.

This is my edc rotation mostly. I've been carrying the Bailout the last couple of days just to change things up.

@BC42 nice edc rotation you have there.
The new bailout is a bit more tempting than the previous, which I didn’t understand at all, but I don’t think my interest is on a buying level just yet. I was holding back on the mini Bugout as well, but now I’m pretty sure I’ll pick it up pretty soon. If it’s as good as I hope it is, the Bugout line is about to totally displace my other Benchmades for pocket time. That’s weird cause the other ones cost a fair bit more.
