Tony, I fought the 'urge' to buy one for six months, and finally-caved. They are 'pricey' to say the least, but you only have to feel-the-pain once I suppose. My first-choice was the 'all-black' G10 automatic, in straight-blade configuration. But the particular vendor only had the tan-version in auto. I really do like the black and tan. I'm a southpaw, so it being an ambi-operated knife helped sell-it. Here it is, compared to my Al Mar SERE folder which is even-larger. I guess, 'size' is a relative term.
I finally got to hold one a few weeks ago, I like the bigger knives. Ended up with a ZT 393. I am thinking I should have went with the Adamas. On my next to buy list though.
I'm actually going into IT after I got injured working as a FF/EMT I had to find a new career. It also fits in my coin pocket perfectly and I can still get to the pen, tweezers and tooth pick without taking it out of my pocket Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
A ZT designed by Hinderer; how could you go wrong? Good score. Really nice blade, dude! One of my favorite brands too.
Hi Journo, my interest in this knife has increased after the release of the Urban EDC supplys exclusive versions. I think it looks more appealing with solid scales. However I wonder if the UK version might be more appealing functionally. Flipping actions are not really my favorite, and the tests I've seen of the standard version suggest that the detent is to strong for normal opening. I guess there is no detent issues on the UK version? How about washers / bearings? I prefer bronze washers over bearings, so that's also kind of a gripe with the standard version. How does the UK version function in this regard? Taking the price into account, there's probably to many things I don't like on this knife, but the size and blade is close to perfection for my intended use, so if they release a UK version with solid scales, that might be enough to tip me over
I looked at that one as well. Ended up with the 20CV version for 180. $260 is a bit pricey for the tiger stripes
I have hunted and carried a knife since I was 12 yoa. Tonight I ordered my first Buck 110. My dad always carried one growing up and while I thought about upgrading to S30, I ordered the plain Jane in honor of him. I really can't wait to put it to use.
Great choice, hunt! I have a 110 that I 'rescued' from my knife-box. It cleaned-up great for a blade almost forty years old. Now it's back in regular-rotation again: Before: After:
Congrats! Don't worry about the so-called 'plain Jane' steel. Buck are wizards in their heat treat. Generations have carried the 110 with that steel and used it under all sorts of conditions. Plus has well deserved history of easy to field sharpen if you're going to indulge in those sort of activities -- truly a family of knives for hard use! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Here it is with a custom sheath from leather blades on etsy. A grand total of about $60 worth of American made awesomeness. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I picked this up off BladeForums. I’ve had the itch to buy a new knife for a few weeks (as we all do from time to time) but really didn’t know what I wanted until I saw this. I had to have it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
