So, the Fox Suru just *feels wrong* in my hands. I am thinking about replacing it with either a Benchmade Proper, or an Enzo PK70 Titanium. Does anyone have any input on either of those?
Got some $ for Xmas so this is what I got. Ambush Sentry Elmax and Desert Ironwood. Should be an awesome little EDC fixed blade.
Here it is ThaMac! First let me say I'm a big fan of CRK. I own quite a few and they all are top notch knives in my opinion so my expectations were high and this knife definitely didn't disappoint. It's my first Mnandi so I will say it feels and carries small but that's ok since my EDC knife is not meant to be a hard beater. It was designed to open with two hands but with a little practice you can open it with one. The quality is superb. The fit and finish is everything you would expect from Chris Reeve. It's very light weight so you won't feel it in whatever you're wearing even a shirt pocket would be fine. Don't let it's weight fool you though. It is a solid cutting tool meant to be used. As with all CRK's the beauty is in it's simplicity. Two titanium slabs and a couple of screws and you can take this apart for cleaning and re-assemble in minutes. The carbon fiber is a rugged but beautiful touch as is the basket weave Damascus blade. If you're looking for an heirloom quality EDC gentlemans knife that's at home in shorts, jeans, or a suit I highly recommend this knife. If you perform a lot of heavy duty cutting tasks this knife probably would not be a good choice. It will remain in my pocket as my EDC knife for the foreseeable future. Fox makes some great knives from Italy. I'm amazed more each-day by the consummate quality they produce. Especially, this Suru Carbon in M390!
Just ordered a J E Made Knives mini Zulu. I've been wanting a smaller ti scaled knife for keychain duty for ages, hoping this is the answer to my search. Grizz
Thank you, kind Sir. Guess the downer for me is the opening. Usually I carry 3.5“ knives. Not because I need to, but because I can. The size would still be ok, for my suit days. But if I need to use both hands, I can go with my Case (that you might have seen in picture threat already). Sent from my Glade Air Freshener
Life is colourful The Mora Basic 511 2018 Edition. Either the designer was on a LSD trip or it´s an enlarged Playmobil knife. I don´t know. But it was EUR 6,99 shipped so I could not resist. And it´s a Mora knife: Handle fits perfect and blade is razor sharp. There will be use for this knife ... in the kitchen, for barbecue, in the garden, in the car or maybe in a toolbox.
I like my current Massdrop Ferrum Forge Crux so much that I ended up buying another during the latest drop.
