I have just received my ZT 0393 and it is SO smooth......
I had to get an older style 0452TIBLU. It's on order. Love the color and blade length. Hope it's as smooth as the 0393.

    Lateck,

Thank you for planting the 0393 in my head. The only thing is, it’s a Hinderer and I got an XM-18. Sooooo maybe a ZT that’s not a Hinderer?

One knife this year only. No brand that I got already except maybe a Strider SMF (if that’s even possible). Else hmmm a ZT or a Bemchmade or a Microtech or a Northfield. A lot to ponder there.

    How'd you get a 393 so early?

Benchmade Proxy's are on sale since they discontinued them. They are Strider-esc looking and a good deal for the materials offered. Have you considered a Olamic?

I don't know.... I just looked around and found a couple of smaller sites that had them. I looked at the bigger online outlets and all were pre-order only.
All were the same prices, more or less.
    It's a great fidget tool.....

Called to change my order to a Microtech LUDT. There’s just something about the LUDT that speaks to me. I’ll keep the Rockeye on my list for my next order.

Buck Vertex frame lock knife. Skeletonized handle; 3" full SE sheep's foot blade 420HC steel.

Something a bit out of the ordinary around here. But I have a strange fondness for Buck. I'm not a hunter or anything; just drawn to Buck's aura of being 'old school'! :). Not that a fully skeletonized handle is that old school... ;)

    L'chaim!

Have my eye on a LUDT stormtrooper. So please let me know what you think when it arrives.

The Proxy is IMHO not even close to a Strider. After a quick glance, I decided too look into the Olamics.

What’s wrong about the 940? This looks like a design rip off.

Will do! The Stormtroopers look awesome but I try to only buy users so I got the black handle and stonewashed blade. I ordered over the phone at BHQ and the service was awesome. They’re sending free MT Tees with the claw logo with orders on MT knives right now.

I agree, it's a ripoff and I don't support that but BM charging $180 for knife with S30v and aluminum scales is also a ripoff. Don't get me wrong, I've always wanted a 940 but every time I buy a new knife, I've been able to find more knife for less money and equal or better components.

You don’t support that, only you just did. The “<Country> first” debate really is far away from me. But the “Protect Original Designs” is not. Now, i could elaborate why, but whatever makes you sleep at night.

I’m not sure how you think I contradicted myself here? I was simply trying to state that I agree, the design was ripped off and that I think the 940 is overpriced. I also don’t understand the “country first” remark.

You said you agree that it’s a ripoff and you don’t support that. Still you bought it. That’s where I see the contradiction.

The Country First is about some people say they are only buying merchandise made in the country they live/born in. And I don’t care about that. Just about someone ripping off a design. It’s hard work and expensive the develop something like the 940.

But i wanna leave it at that.
