MiniChamp on keychain, and Alox Pioneer in my pocket. But pioneer only for classy carry, it can't replace my main blade for work.

I love the compact - but you are missing a tool from the line-up in the photo... You do know there's a straight pin in there?!

Maybe the pin is lost. Happens when you actually carry the tool. Lost mine many moons ago.

Either a red or silver alox cadet in my pocket (looking for a blue one to add to the collection) and a stay glow classic on my keyring.

I like the Alox Cadet the best. I carry a Climber for the large blade and scissors. I always have a Manager on my keyring. What I would really like is an Alox with just a large blade, scissors and bottle opener...maybe someday.

I think that is the perfect set of tools! I have stumbled unto this realization too. I am thinking about getting another custom done, or trying to mod one myself, we'll see. I would like to start off with a Pioneer, replace the awl with a combo tool and replace the bottle opener and can opener with a pair of full size scissors. It would be 2 layers, easy to slip into the small pocket on my jeans and be able to tackle 99.9% of my daily needs. Essentially it would be a full size Alox Bantam with scissors. :D

Or a Victorinox Compact, if you don't mind the plastic scales and extra couples tools on the bottom.

I came to the same conclusion.. Only I would try it with cadet scales. Nice and thin..

    Only problem... 84mm scissors..

I have a cadet and love the thinness, but I am willing to sacrifice it to have a stronger set of scales (I think they will wear better and last longer too). The cadet is definitely better for pocket carry, especially if you are in an office or wearing suit pants. I prefer the pioneer/Farmer if I am wearing jeans, it just fits right into that small fifth pocket. Either way you can't go wrong IMO. :)

I like the Victorinox Explorer, I've always thought it was the perfect size and combination of tools.

I also have a cadet. I love the thin scales. It is the LE colors black. So I don't abuse it. I dont know if the scales are not strong enough. Normally I carry me pioneer or farmer. I work in an office as an architect, so I don't need a big knife. I would love the scissors though..

Blue alox cadet for me. I have some others but like others have found the alox pox is contagious.

sent from my fancy dancy phone that'll soon be outdated or broken
