Finally got some new knives. Taking this to work. Its surprisingly sharp. (crappy cellphone pic, inbound)
I'm a southpaw too. Shame about having to disassemble it. Good thing to know beforehand, I suppose, since it won't stop me from getting one.
It's really easy to disassemble and re-assemble. It's just that the screw for the clip also holds the back spring. Once the screw was out the spring moved a bit and I couldn't get it lined up with the hole again. Once that was done though it functions great. Opened up a couple letters tonight with it an it's sharp out of the box.
Knives as I still have on my work duds. This is my EVER present Left Pocket Carry. Imperial Prov. RI USA Scout
Thanks for the tip! I guess Hinderer changed their maintenance info. I think one of the primary reasons that teflon washers were chosen is that even if sand and grit get into the pivot area, the action won't be as heavily affected if the washers are PB. Though, I think I'll have to take it apart and put some TKX on the washers, maybe polish the pivot pin. I'm still plenty happy with it (for Christ's sake I have my XM-24 GRAIL!!!).

This again. I'm thinking about sending it in to Hinderer to get it anodized bronze with purple standoffs.
