Hey, is that an al mar sere operator? I've heard many great things about that knife, but have seen next to none of them. Have you had a chance to use it?

My current EDC blade is my Kershaw Ken Onion 1660CKT. Former EDC's were a CRKT Crawford/Kasper Tactical Folder - Combo Edge and a CRKT M16

    Occasionally I'll carry my Rat-3.

Man ,with all these beauties on here I am almost embarased to post mine. It is a Smith and Wesson Cuttin Horse I bought at Dollar General for all of $5.00. I have a bad habit of losing them. This one is actually pretty sharp and sturdy for what I paid.

It is! I carried it for a little while, but it's a gift from my GF so nothing more than twine and burlap, some plastic banding. It melted through anything I touched with it, very positive grip, fits nicely. Highly recommend it, although I found the modular sheath to be a little weak depending on the carry method you choose. I baby it now, and save the rough stuff for my Nimravus. I'll make a safe raid tomorrow and post a pic of an old school Sere I picked up a while back. Maybe a side by side? I'll pretty much always choose old Al Mar over new, but I love them all...

Wow, a gift from your GF? Does she have a sister? :D Seriously though Few months ago I decided I wanted to replace my Gerber LMF with something that doesn't have a coating and my top choices were:

    Fallkniven S1
    Al Mar Sere Operator
    BRKT Bravo 1
    Spyderco Dayhiker
    and the BM Fixed Griptillian

I decided to go with the Bravo 1 because I have never owned a "semi-production" knife like that. But after spending much time researching these knives, there is a great chance I will buying all of them over the next few years (eventually).
