the griptilian for now (not the Pathfinder, although that would be neat). I lost or someone stole my Snody Gravitator, so until I find something Benchmade I like more, Griptilian it will be. Also EDC the Folts Minimalist, but strictly for slashing duct tape bonds if I'm kidnapped or slashing my wrists if I'm abducted. :idiot2:

Have the Spartan blades "Horkus" in my EDC. One of the best designs available. Not as thick as a strider but definetly well thought out. Of all the knives I own I can honestly say that this one sits in my hand the best. It is the easiest to use and is perfect in its design for me. Now if they made this in a .22" thickness... Id own quite a few more of these. But this one is light and agile and I have to say elegant. perfect for the edc. For the BOB its the RAT rc-5 but if they made a thicker version of this blade It would be the main BOB knife as well as my battle blade.

    From SwissBianco ( http://www.swissbianco.com/ ) .
Maybe he still has some available. They were in limited supply when he advertised them a couple of months ago.

No worries. And thanks for the links.

How do you find the N690 steel to perform? I've seen it likened to both AUS 8 / 440C and also VG10. Any clue which it's more similar too?

I actually think it is more like 154CM. Takes a great edge and has staying power. I have another Boker coming in on Friday, the Applegate Folding Dagger, and it has a steel I've never had, S60V. Here is a link to it from the Boker, Germany site.

I just use the blade on my Skeletool for EDC utility at work. Sometimes I carry my Gerber Gator, but's too bulky for EDC, so i'm workin on getting a Kershaw Blur. :)

Although I still have a SAK on my belt, I'm also trying this one out for an EDC user.

Well, for reasons unknown even to me, I decided to buy a Case Wharncliffe mini Trapper a few months back, and much to my surprise, I LOVE IT!!! It is the perfect work knife for me. I don't have any problems with the whole "people afraid of knives" thing at work, and with this knife, I am pretty sure I never will. I liked the Wharncliffe so much that I decided to get a regular mini trapper, which I did. I bought the new model with the black G-10 handles. It is quite awesome, though I find that I like the wharncliffe blade better than the spey blade. Thus, if another wharnie series comes out, I shall buy yet another of these knives. I still carry my Grip and my Endura, no doubt about it, but as far as my work knife goes. the Case takes the cake. Just for good measure, I also bought a full size trapper with yellow handles with a gift card I got for Christmas. A bit big for my daily use, so not one I intend to carry all that often, if ever. It is quickly becoming my go to knife around the house though, so it was not a wasted purchase.

Also, specifically for keeping in my truck, I bought a Cold Steel Pocket Bushman. I guess that is sort of EDC! The Pocket Bushman is very simple and true to it's advertising in that the lock is quite robust. I tend to stay away from Chinese made knives, but for the 20 bucks I paid for it, I really can't find anything to complain about.

Come payday, I also plan on buying a Buck Vantage Avid. I haven't been overly impressed with the last few Buck folders I have tried, but this one looks like it might change my mind. My recent purchase of the skinner version of the Paklite series was very positive, so I also plan on buying the caping version as well.
