my EDC for almost 8 years now has been my MICROTECH TI straight edge D/A Socom. I have found nothing that really just came close to fit finish, pocket carry, depth of carry, angle in the pocket - It just is a superior design. It is an auto and thus a no-no to carry here, but its just such a nice knife i can't help it. A month ago or so I picked up a Chris Reeve Lg. Insingo and so far I really love it, and it is more practical of a EDC than the modified tanto of the Socom. Back in 2000 when I was working in a factory for a bit my EDC was the benchmade emerson - I ABUSED that knife, and it came back for more, i pry'd, I cut metal banding, I pounded, i did everything you shouldn't do to it. after 2 years I sheered the blade off at the pivot point when it got pressed into a block of concrete - benchmade rebuilt the entire knife for no cost. I gave the rebuild to my best friend as a gift.
All parts made by the maker! Including the Torx screws Made by Shing whose work is seen over on BB regularly. It's a bit of a beast of a folder and that's the mini version!
I've been pretty consistently sticking with the Caly3 for the last few months. I have a UKPK and old-style BM 550 that I like, too, but the Caly3 is giving the best all-round performance for now...
I bought this Buck Crosslock back in 1995. Still the best folder I've used. Jerry ------------------------------------------ Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
That's the last time I use an "in App" camera option. That was a terrible photo! Try this one... Jerry ------------------------------------------ Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
SAK swisschamp plus is my EDC if I don't have my swisstool spirit on me. I'll add an ESEE izula to my EDC if I need to cut a lot of stuff (boxes, rope, string, etc) that day.
my kershaw edc carry knives. i rotate between them. the slimer smaller ones are for church and work. also carry a leatherman charge ti along with one of the kershaws. top to bottom: Kershaw: Blackout, Rainbow Leek, Chive, OD-1, not sure of the correct model name.
I've been carrying this old Spyderco for almost 20 years. I have no idea what model it is - I would love it if any forum members could enlighten me...(blade is 3" long). This thing has been a rock solid performer for me - it's been through hell and back. I could never part with this one.
