What is your EDC knife right now? Part 1

The knife tonester posted is the Gayle Bradley folder. The carbon fiber Caly 3 has a laminated ZDP189 blade.

 

yup its a Gayle. its a very robust knife.

 

I've been carrying my Spyderco Tenacious for a very long time. When I'm in the woods I clip on a Mora Craftline with a homemade kydex sheath. Soon I'll have one of the FFG Delica 4's.

 

Lately I've been carrying an Emerson Combat Karambit, but my lovely fiance just ordered me an Emerson Super SOCFK for my birthday.

Dang, I want that knife. Tough yet showy. Is it comfortable to grip securely? It looks rather un-contoured compared to some other knives.

it actually conforms to your hands very nicely. it doesnt have to much of a finger guard. but my fingers fall perfectly where the contours on the handle are and my thumb rests perfectly on the thumb ramp, which is a actually a higher thumb ramp than most other spydies and keep your thumb right in place.

I've never had any experience with ZDP189, how does it compare to M4? My Ritter RSK M4 is amazing to sharpen and takes an incredibly keen edge, and I've only heard good things about ZDP189, but between the two I'm unsure what the benefits are in regards to edge retention/keenness.

I like the blade profile of the Caly-3 a lot!

Best EDC knife. Traditional Czech knife - a fishlet. Produced more than 60 years. And in the last century, it had to have every boy in the pocket.

No offense, but 'best' is very subjective. But I'm glad that's the best for you. What steel is it? (looks like it has a nice patina to it)
