I'm guessing you mean the RW-1, as the "Rogue Warrior" series knives are the only ones that Strider has produced for Richard Marcinko that I know of. That's a great knife, or so I've been lead to believe from the the reviews and from the looks of it. Quick question on the grind on the RW-1: Is it saber-hollow or saber-flat ground? When I ordered my SnG, I thought it would be saber-flat based on the pics. Turned out to be saber-hollow, which I prefer.

Yes, I did in fact mean "Rogue Warrior." I REALLY do love this knife. It is very well balanced, and very sharp. I wish I could answer your question, but unfortunately I am no knife expert. I do not know the difference between saber-flat, and saber-hollow. I looked around online to see if I could find the answer for you, but for the first time in recent memory google has let me down. The only thing that I could find is that the knife has a 3/4 grind. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe you could enlighten me as to the differences between the grinds, and then I can give you an educated answer. ?????????

Sorry, I should've clarified. Forget about the "saber" part for a moment. Here's the difference between a hollow grind and a flat grind:

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4c/Ground_blade_shapes.png

If you look at the blade with the tip pointed toward you, any given blade will typically have one of these grinds. The hollow grind is #1 and the flat grind would be either #2 or 3. Well, technically #1 is saber-hollow because the top half is perpendicular to the floor. #2 would be a full flat grind and #3 would be saber flat. Regular Striders had a "high flat grind", that is, it's almost a full flat like #2, but at the very top near the spine it's like a saber grind.

Spyderco likes to play with difference grinds so they're a good example. The old school large Manix, if looking at the tip, would look like #2:

The Manix 2 in 154CM steel would look like #1 (saber-hollow):

Your typical Strider SnG would be technically a high-flat because of the very top near the spine, but it might as well be considered a full flat:

The 3/4 grind Striders are saber-hollow:

I'm guessing the RW-1 has the (saber) hollow grind as well. I'm typing this while sleepy, so I hope this isn't confusing.

Thank you for the clarification. The RW-1 is Saber Hollow!!! As previously mentioned, this is a WONDERFUL knife!!! I am looking forward to carrying it for many years to come.
