I use it nearly every day and I never needed something grippy like G10.
I don't have the habit/nned to use knives with wet hands or gloves, so it's perfect for me.
Same for the laminated leather scales on the CQC-5k that I'll use tomorrow.
I would have sworn that was wood if not for the grain. Looks awesome! Nice combination with the tactical looking Emerson design.
I grew up using a cellidor SAK, so I too can do without grippy scales, but I still like them regardless. My pockets are grateful when I carry smooth knives though!
Not the best pic but today I'm carrying my Redencion #147!!

Thanks very much! So it was indeed the space
Grampa used to pick watermelons for me in his garden...I wonder if this is the knife he used?
For me only polished/bead blasted steel handles seem to be too slick, otherwise I prefer polished G10, Ti or such.
The laminated leather was a test if it's possible and maybe someday I'll try it again but use the vaccuum technique on job for it to make sure the epoxy gets sucked in a bit better. I didn't even like the bulky sqared scales on the CQC-5k and the locking liner had a sharp edge like I haven't seen it before. Now it's a nice and smooth knife for edc with a not really socially adequate opening feature
Background: leather stripes before laminating.
New addition to the Spyderco family.

Most Spydys don't have flippers. But more and more I'm thinking I need...
I whipped out the ZT and flicked it open so a Guy could cut loose a zip tie.
His only comment was I don't much use knives. REALLY?
My new Southard.
Awesome! I have come sooooooo close to buying a Domino to accompany my Dice on several occasions. I have held out so far, but my will is weakening!

I was going to buy a Techno. The guy who supposed to sell me one had a Domino also. Well once I've held it the story was over. Techno will have to wait. The Domino is much more impressive in real life.
