Today I received my new TRC K1. What a gorgeous fixed blade!
What brand of knife is that? I'm not good at guess the kool knife game. Help an old guy out.
Notice the CR near the pivot. That tells us it is a Chris Reeve knife. As to blade grind I am in the dark but don't care for it myself.
I was going to cut plastic and cardboard. So I grabbed Frankencryo. It did fantastic cutting the plastic.
It got a wee bit dull slicing cardboard. But a couple licks on the ceramic stick fixed it right up.
Chris Reeve Umnumzaan.
Is it anodized blue or is just the pic? Looking nice.

I had a propensity to have the loose ends of a lanyard fuzzy. But I lost two different wire beads when the knots came undone. This one ain't gonna do that.

Thank you! Just the lighting. They did re-blast the handle. Does seem a bit darker. It was gone too long. Happy to have it back!

I was packing this pair around earlier today.
TM Hunt Custom Knives Magua and Case Sodbuster
Just came today. My beautiful brute.
Well, the laundry list of knives I mentioned a while back in the 'on the way' thread has finally started trickling in
The first to arrive was my new (to me) 0770 Aluminum that I bought off a fine gentleman here
I actually like this version more than the CF handled version, a bit of sculpting on the Al and the texturing of the anodizing gives me much better purchase on the handle. And even though it has standoffs instead of a long spacer, plus the solid Al handles, gives this knife a more more solid feel without adding much weight.
I like it a lot
And my latest purchase, a step up for me, and one that I fear is leading me down a very expensive path.
It was this, or go the full custom route (which I suspect is in the very near future any way...)
The detent is a bit much for my taste. Still breaking it in, but I can see that I may have to take further steps to address this
[edit, this last pic was supposed to be of the detent ball, not a repeat of already shown picture...]
And no, this will not be a safe queen, it will be a user
Sorry. Switched to photobucket. We'll see if that works. Thanks for letting me know!
Kershaw Strobe today. Love this guy. Flippers and ball bearings are where it's at.
