Ah! Thought it might be a Barrage, but hadn't seen one with the sepperate bolster/handle scale look.

I've been toying with the notion of getting away from heavy single blade folders and just going straight SAK... These two have been on me the last few days and I really haven't missed my Para 2, ZT0550, or HEST 2.0/f much at all... hmm maybe a couple of SAKs are all I need.

Yeah, the scales are a bit nicer. The big sell for me was the use of M390 for the blade steel.

That's a Victorinox One-hand Trekker in plain edge with a pocket clip added.

THAT is a Skinth P3MT. I modified the middle tube to make it wide enough for a CR123 flashlight (Olight S10). It works quite well. :)

I know I could get along perfectly well 99% of the time with nothing more than my Vic explorer as a pocket knife. Years ago, I did just fine with nothing fancier than a sheepsfoot bladed Barlow knife. I get the urge to simplify, but then I open the drawer in the morning and there are the Benchmades, HEST and ZT0350 seemingly begging to be used and I load up my belt and pockets.

So, yes I could get along very well with only one knife or multitool, but, thankfully, I don't have to. Even on the days when my knife never leaves the pocket or the SwissTool the sheath, I know they are there, ready to go to work. It's the other days, when I need a knife or tool and need it "right now!" that I'm really glad I put aside the urge to simplify.

I've been carrying a Benchmade 943 for about 18 months at work (not knife unfriendly but a neck knife would be overkill opening boxes from Amazon). Nights and weekends I carry/wear my Murray Carter neck knife. Both are top of the class for my needs so I've never been tempted to rotate anything else into the mix.

Russlock inspired by JC, and paired it with my old trusted friend, the circle C bluegrass bone Peanut. Turns out ironic and rather fitting; I bought these two at the same time, and carried them together for a week or so when I got them about 6 years ago... Later the 'nut was my only carried knife for over a year.. The Russlock, not so much; Maybe a months worth of carry in that 6 years span... But I was never able to part with it.

I've been thinking te same way. After receiving my new Syph007 SAK, it's never left my pocket. It may be all I need.
