Gareth Bull small Warlock
Can you open that with the exposed back of the blade (near the pivot)? Or do you just open it with friction on the blade.
CRK Insingo & Spyderco Techno
That's how a knife should look like! Just simple..
No stealth paint and angles and spikes for climbing walls and other mall ninja stuff.
I think I need one.. Off to Google!
I agree, reminds me of Boker exskelibur or exscalimur, opens similarly a great knife
Ahh. Totally forgot about the Boker. Thanks. Might be a bit easyer to get.
But sometimes the hunt is half the fun. And I just found the Gareth Bull Shamwari knife, and I think I'm in love.
Wow! eacas10 impressed Vesp..... Very impressive....
kershaw cryo or the buck vantage small
for the last 3 days it's been this...
Rat 1 for deer camp all weekend.
Mine's just like this but without pocket clip
Vesp, don't bother sending the maker an email because he won't answer it!!
There's an ongoing thread on BF about how GB doesn't answer emails.
A lot of people who made deposits are still waiting for his knives for months/years now!
I got mine from a private seller and this was my grail knife.
It mixes the best things about CRK, Strider and Hinderer.
Make a search and you'll find threads about these great knives.
There was only twenty or so made i believe.
Btw rista, it opens like the Exkeliburs as you say.
It's called the "lip mechanism" and it has been used mainly by South African makers.
I also own a Burger EXK1 and i love them both.
They are extremely good slicers, tough but light at the same time.
Nice pics. By the way, the only thing that I dislike about the RAT 2 that I own is the tip up carry clip position (why they didn't just use lhe last pilar for the middle clip hole I don't understand...).
So let me ask you, where did you get this clip and would it fit on the model 2, too? Thanks
Thanks. I got the clip from usaknifemaker dot com. It's titanium and very inexpensive, I've put them on a few of my folders. I can't say for sure if it would fit the model 2, but it looks like they used the same hole positions.
I still have one of those. And still love it. Solid knife.
As much as Gerber isn't a favorite among most knife enthusiasts, they still do just enough to keep me interested. I just picked up my second Big Rock, and I'm enjoying the GDC Tech Skin.
I am very much afraid that makes two of us...
good luck with that
Thanks! I just read your answer to Vesp, and realize it will take a lot of luck to find one.
I guess that's one acceptable way to take a pocket knife to a sword fight.
