Back in the 80’s when these first came out I wasn’t thrilled; it was the Rambo era and everyone needed a huge, hollow handled survival knife, right? Who’s going to carry a big chunky folder?

    Still kicking myself:stomp:

    • On my car ignition key ring: a classic, the 'Christy knife'; small knife guys know this one. (See also the company website, https://www.christycompany.net/history-of-the-christy-knife-company). This is absolutely a simple keychain knife: body 3 3/8", blade 3/8" x 1 7/8" x 0.025"; SS. Here is a pic from the website:

    • Right side, 3 o'clock in a sheath: Antonini 'Old Bear', large; 3.5" 420 SS clip point FFG; walnut handle; collar lock. Just great in the hand - and only 2 oz. They've been producing knives since 1925 in Italy's 'knife city' - Maniago.

    • In the '5th pocket': Spyderco Manbug Salt Rescue MYLS; yellow FRN handle; lock back; 1 7/8" HG H-1 sheep's foot l SE blade.

Start of another week of 'conventions', COVID, and a new projected 'heat wave' in NoVA... So blade change day:
    • LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4.

    • On my car ignition key ring: a classic, the 'Christy knife'; small knife guys know this one. (See also the company website, https://www.christycompany.net/history-of-the-christy-knife-company). [IMG]

    • RF pocket, on its clip: Kizer Ki3487A1 'Barbosa', design by Mikkel Willumsen; open construction, black G10 scales; liner lock; machined out steel liner on one side; standard flipper riding on ceramic bearings. 3", 0.11" stock VG-10 satin finish HG drop point PE. Not a big knife at all. Flip action is soft; and with the size and my hands, too often the blade is inhibited by fleshy part of the palm. Good slicer and rides well in my pocket.

pics bia BHQ; YES I bought this from them ;)

    • In the '5th pocket': Spyderco Ladybug Salt LYLS3; yellow FRN handle; lock back; 1 7/8" HG H-1 sheep's foot l SE blade.

    • RF pocket, on its clip: Kizer 'Splinter' V3457-A3. Designed by TomCat Knives (USA); sculpted blue-black G10 scales; liner lock; steel liners 'somewhat' milled out; good flipper action on bearings; 3.34" FFG VG-10 PE wharncliffe with nice swedge! Kind of a small slender knife. Clip is not deep carry but little sticks out and the G10 blends with jeans...;) This knife is still in production but current production is Bohler N690 steel. Hasn't been in my pocket for a while... forgot how much I like this knife might carry it for a week... ;)
