Had an Okapi as a kid on the farm in Rustenburg. Different blade through, I think it was more standard drop point. Wish I still had it. Didn't really mean anything back then, now it would mean a whole lot.

    Starting the new week:
    • LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4. The blade is 420HC; 1.6". This one is just about ALWAYS with me.

    • On my car ignition key ring: a classic, the 'Christy knife'; small knife guys know this one. (See also the company website, https://www.christycompany.net/history-of-the-christy-knife-company). This is absolutely a simple keychain knife: body 3 3/8", blade 3/8" x 1 7/8" x 0.025": 'surgical steel'. Here is a pic from the website:

    • On its clip, RF pocket: Ruike P121-G Hussar; Green G10 scales and deep carry clip; open construction with milled SS liners; bearing driven flipper - deploys NICE; liner lock; 3.75" 14C28N drop point hollow grind. Ruike was for a while one of the crowd of leading (or to-be leading) Chinese manufacturers. Still around, but I think much of the 'pack' -- WE/Civivi, Kizer, Bestech to name a few -- have blown past Ruike. Even so, I really enjoy carrying this knife and it feels great in my hand. I think still a company to be aware of; hope they find their way again.

    • In the '5th pocket': Spyderco Manbug SP-MBKS; black FRN handle, lock back; 1.88" VG-10 FFG SE blade.

    Mid-week rotation change:
    • LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4. The blade is 420HC; 1.6". This one is just about ALWAYS with me.

    • On its deep-carry clip, RF pocket: Kershaw Cryo II #1556Ti - a Hinderer design; flipper with the infamous 'speed safe'; frame lock; TiCN coated steel frame; 3.25" drop point hollow ground also TiCN coated PE blade. Slim in pocket!

    • In the '5th pocket': Spyderco Cricket C29S; frame lock; steel handle; 1.875" VG-10 'reverse - S' hollow grind SE blade. This knife DEFINITELY 'punches' above its weight class! :)

Picked it up from a custom knife mods guy. He re-profiled the blade, gave it a mirror polish, made a spidie hole, stonewashed and acid dipped the blade. I anodized the Ti scales and clip and heat treated the screws and spacers. Supper happy how it turned out. [IMG]

Discovered that I'm beginning to like knives.

First effort. Decided to get a decently reviewed sypderco as my entry level edc knife.

Thought it had been a while since I saw any of your knives. :censored:, man -- you have some of the most amazing looking blades shown in these 'pages'!
