This Spyderco Tasman Salt has been living on the inside of my waistband for most of the past year. It's slim & light enough to pretty much disappear at 3 o'clock when I'm working, exercising, walking the dog, or lounging on the couch. But it's still big enough to tackle most any slicing job I could ask of it, with no need to worry about rust. I like this so much that I got the bigger Pacific Salt, but this little serrated hawkbill has gradually surpassed the Kershaw Leek become my favorite EDC. [IMG]

GEC #35 Farm & Field Calf Pen with liner lock Wharnie and one hand opening secondary blade with black linen micarta handles. There is a small screwdriver tip on the pivot end of the knife, an old school multi tool.

Got the Prybrid yesterday and it's bigger than I thought. 940-2 has pocket duty for this week.

Still got my birthday Fisherman here. It's not been out of my pocket since the 2nd.

It was supported by the SwissChamp the other day when, as part of home schooling, the Little Lady had to find, pick, identify, dissect and examine a few flowers for her science project. So naturally the magnifying glass was well used.

But my prediction of last year holds true: the Fisherman is the perfect EDC for me unless there is a specific other job at hand.

It's a Hiker (which I have never owned) but omitting the saw for a measuring rule/fork/scraper/general prodding device.

I think of it as a Climber on steroids. I love it.

I have a couple of Guardian 3's (drop point and sheepsfoot). Fantastic knives that I'm surprised don't get mentioned more often.

I agree. Such a fantastic knife. One day I’d like to add some other designs in the collection.

    Start of a new week:
    • LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4. The blade is 420HC; 1.6". This one is just about ALWAYS with me.

    • On my car ignition key ring: a classic, the 'Christy knife'; small knife guys know this one. (See also the company website, https://www.christycompany.net/history-of-the-christy-knife-company). This is absolutely a simple keychain knife: body 3 3/8", blade 3/8" x 1 7/8" x 0.025": 'surgical steel'. Here is a pic from the website:

    • In RF pocket, on pocket clip: Kizer Ki4514, aka Isham Theta. Ti handle, open construction; front flipper riding on ceramic bearings; frame lock; steel insert so no lock stick; milled Ti clip; 3.2" S35VN stonewash FFG wharncliff PE. The blade has a substantial hole which can allow for a 'Spydie flip'. This is a good slicer for sure! The one thing about this knife, remarked on by several, is that the detent is a bit on the weak side so that it isn't the best of flippers by a long shot. That aside, the design is great - definitely with all of Isham's trademark design features; carries well in pocket and in my hand...:) :

    • In the '5th pocket': Spyderco Cricket C29S; SS handle, frame lock; 1.875" 'reverse S' VG-10 hollow grind SE blade. I've been known to call this knife the 'runt child' of the Spyderco Matriarch ;) ;this week it gets to play in part because it is a nice quirky complement to the Kizer Theta - also somewhat of a quirky design!

Its the S90v DLC Manix2 Lw by Cutlery Shop, great knife, wish they'd have DLC'd the hardware though. Been in my pocket a fair bit, along with the S45vn PM2 Sprint.

So... the features exclusive to Cutlery Shop must be the handle & color? I had thought I'd previously seen the Manix 2 using S90 with
    DLC?

Don't get me wrong... I'm a fan of the Manix line myself; just wasn't sure what the exclusive was!

I may be wrong, but believe Cutlery Shop is the only one who has done a lightweight in S90v, the DLC is actually the second they've done, previously they did a satin blade. But like most any Spyderco sprint/exclusive its just a matter of colors, steel, and marketing, create the frenzy and they will sell.

Not fond of Sprints and exclusives but the upside is getting plenty of steel options. S90v is a fairly under-rated steel.
