@Moshe ben David , the Piranha is equal in my opinion (and a little more money). Their quality is great and as an OTF, it is snappy. In fact I like it so much that I just ordered a Rated R model (also OTF) to go with my 2 other Piranhas. I own all 3 brands and feel they are very equal depending upon the model. Protech and Microtech have more variety. Piranha, the flashy colors.
I finally got the clip that goes with my ZT 0055BRZ from the original owner and it carries so much better especially in shorts. Now I definitely have a new show side. Be seeing you...
Well thanks! I've been wondering. I did notice the colors with Piranha, not just colors but more flashy graphics on the handles, especially the OTF models. Not sure how I feel about that. Really glad you've been able to comment on quality and 'snappiness' of the OTF... Am Yisrael Chai! Moshe ben David
You re-painted it with the famous paint? Or is it a original Morakniv classic with touched up handle? Nevertheless, true icon's which i personally use on a daily.
It's the new release version of the classic series Agreed, I have many fixed blades but this one is the one I bring to the woods or when working around the house. Skickat från min SM-N975F via Tapatalk
Aye! They mean, lightweight but strong enough, beautiful, no workers. Got them laying around everywhere!! True all-rounders. Keep 'em comin!
couldn't decide today. Bought the Para 3 and haven't carried it much. But I am definitely starting to. Today carrying both my favs at the moment. Para 3 and Bug out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Curious to hear from you how the para compares, when you carry it. The bugout has been my daily carry for a while and its like its not even there when its in my pocket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So I was just telling my buddy about this. Love the Bugout. Lightweight and disappears in the pocket. But I found myself doing my everyday tasks and actually using it hard and the blade has some movement when open now. I fixed it but not what I wanted to see. Definitely lightweight and nice in the hand but a cheaper feel. The para 3 is definitely known it’s in the pocket. Thicker, heavier, more sharp edges. Doesn’t carry as deep. However not worried about doing some heavy stuff with it. It’s a great size compared to the para 2. It’s just a little bit smaller which is what I was looking for. But if it’s possible right now I like them both the same. Basically a toss up when I reach in the drawer right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got the Hogue Microswitch in the mail Monday. Fun little knife for my first Auto. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
Funny thing about the Bugout. I have one, and it will play its role in my rotation regularly. But I also have its two 'ancestors' from BM, the 531 and the 530. These have stiffer G10 handles; all (subjectively speaking) just as lightweight, and add virtually no weight nor size in pocket. I've never really understood why these two didn't seem to 'take off' as much as the Bugout has... But I'm really glad to have all 3! And no, at present no plans to get a Mini Bugout... although the 'Imperial Stormtrooper' variant IS tempting! Am Yisrael Chai! Moshe ben David
I had the 530 as well. For me it was a combination of the blade shape and how the scales felt in hand. It was never as comfortable to use for me as a Mini Grip or 707. Ultimately it wasn't seeing enough pocket time and I sold it. Haven't picked up a Bugout yet mostly due to not having been able to hold one yet.
