+1 for that tip! I wonder if that'll apply to Canadian residents like myself. I know some of our more idiotic policy makers have made it difficult to get certain knives across the border but I'm sure the same stupidity won't apply to a simple pocket clip. Certainly can't hurt to ask. I'd love a deep carry clip for my 553BK.
I have gotten several over the past two years. With the exception of my 484, all my Benchmades sport deep carry clips.
Did this two times when I still had a BM. Just wrote a polite email and that was it. They sent them over to Europe, free of charge. They have been nice and quick. You feel like a valued customer there. Now consider ZT, they did not even say “No, sorry we haven’t got any.”. They sent me an obviously prefabricated paragraph, on how this would not only make the knife unbalanced (hu?) but attaching one would also void my warranty. As if I’d claim if with the wrong clip on, d’uh! Sent from my Glade Air Freshener
This is a bit of a mystery to me. I saw at Shot Show that SOG was going to come out with a steel frame lock of their Aegis model and was excited about that. Then I saw this blade on eBay and won it for $20 or so. It’s pretty nice and seemingly legit. But I haven’t seen this knife even on SOGs website or at any dealers! You folks think this is a Shot Show model? Or prototype? Or fake? Fake doesn’t seem likely since I think the frame lock only just was announced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sigh... looks like it’s available at Walmart in 8cr13mov. I thought I had something rare! It’s still a solid lockup and great blade shape. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Two of my ZT Knifes came with deep carry clips. 566 and 562. Bought one from mxggear.com for my 0920. I want to get one for my 350. I have never heard of it being unbalanced. Not sure how it would void the warranty just replacing the clip.
Preparing for a safari to NYC. Hate that place! I make sure to only carry SAK or other slip joints there... : LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4 Coin pocket: Spyderco ClipiTool; SS handle; slip joint; 2 1/8" leaf shape primary blade, PE grind; 2 1/8"' 'straight blade', SE grind. Both blades are 8Cr13MoV. Right front on a P7 dangler: SAK; 'Field Master'. Kissin' cousin to the 'Huntsman', the difference being a Philips driver rather than a corkscrew. L'chaim! Moshe ben David
