For at least the first half of this new week, SS is the theme (to be even more specific, 8Cr13MoV SS!): LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4 Coin pocket: Spyderco ClipiTool. SS handle. Slip joint. Primary leaf shaped 2 1/8" blade; Secondary straight 2 1/8" SE blade; both 8Cr13MoV. Belt sheath at 9 o'clock: LM Blast. Also have a 4" Ti CountyCom 'widgy bar' and a PocketWrench II in the sheath. The PocketWrench is for anchoring the blind nut if present whilst I'd be turning the nut or screw head on the other side... RF pocket on a clip: CRKT Pilar; SS scales; integral frame lock; 2.4" sheep's foot PE blade; 8Cr13MoV. L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Mid-week rotation change, and black is beautiful: LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4 Coin pocket: Spyderco Manbug. Black FRN handle, lock back. Primary leaf shaped 1 7/8" VG-10 SE blade. RF pocket in a leather sheath: Rough Rider Barlow. Pattern RR1387. Black jigged bone scales. Blades of 440 SS. Clip point 2 1/4"; pen blade 1 1/2" I don't know about any other fans of small knives, but I truly am a fan of Rough Rider. For the price point, decent fit and finish; I have yet to receive one with dull blades out of the box. 440 is certainly not a 'super steel', but then neither is 'TruSharp from Case. And lately I have received quite a number of Case knives NOT well sharpened at the factory! Which does not endear Case to me.... L'chaim! Moshe ben David
...a picture speaks a 1000 words Would be really nice to see your EDC as I do read your posts as I’m interested but find them a little lengthy, without a photo.
Start of a new - and (finally!) 'true' autumn week here in Northern Virginia! LF pocket, on Pangea Ti Pickpocket dangler: LM Squirt PS4 Coin pocket: Spyderco Ladybug Hawkbill Salt. Yellow FRN handle, lock back. Hawkbill 1 7/8" H1 SE blade. RF pocket in a leather sheath: Schrade Old Timer 340TW 'Middleman' stockman. Desert Ironwood scales. 7Cr17MoV blades as follows: 2 1/2" clip point, 2" sheep's foot, 1 3/4" pen. The Old Timer is one of the ones made after Taylor acquired the brand and moved production to China (yeah, I know all y'all are shocked ! I bought this knife whilst on a business trip and needed what I thought would be a throw-away knife before I went to the airport for my return. IIRC I bought it at a Tractor Supply somewhere in rural Ohio... don't ask! I found that for light duty it worked fine. Blades were sharp enough for that, easy to carry in pocket. So I kept it. And it shows up in rotation once in several blue moons! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
