    Mid-week rotation change::
    • LF pocket, on dangler: LM Squirt PS4
    • Belt sheath at 9 o'clock: LM Blast
    • Coin pocket: Spyderco Ladybug Salt Hawkbill; yellow FRN lock back; 1 7/8" H1 blade, SE grind
    • RF pocket on a P7 dangler: SAK Fieldmaster. This is the Huntsman's brother: basically the same except the Fieldmaster has a Philips driver instead of the corkscrew. Which also means I don't carry a micro driver with it! Main blade is about 2 5/8".

    917 Tactical Triage for me. Just got it, really loving it. Perfect size for EDC, for me, and has some safety features I enjoy having now being a new Dad.

    It looks like you're a lefty, me too. Do you choose to carry your extra mags like that or is it standard?

    I'm semi ambidextrous. I do pretty much everything except write and shoot with my left hand. My son is the same way.

    What about the mags? I've never tried horizontal carry but it seems like reloads would be awkward.

    looks like it offers pretty natural purchase to me, not to mention more comfortable.

    Agreed. I'm actually interested in the method of "purchase". For example, I carry mine vertically, with the front of the mags facing forward. I index the mag with my pointer finger, find the mag well with my pointer finger as well. Once it is slightly inserted, i simply keep the palm of my hand under the base plate and slam it home. I'm fast that way but fast can always be faster. That's why i was asking.

    I posted a Steel Will Cutjack D2 some time ago.
    Like it very much, except for the opening of the knife. The bushings and the FRN are just not doing it for me.
    So I got me the M390 and G10 version and I like this knife even better. I guess this will be my EDC knife for a long time.

    For me it's easier and faster. I found when I carried them vertically I would occasionally get snagged up in my vest at the range. I turned them horizontally when I got home one night and practiced loading empty mags in my bedroom. It's pretty much second nature now.

    Setting up my rotation change for the new week:
    • LF pocket, on dangler: LM Squirt PS4
    • Coin pocket: Spyderco Manbug Salt Rescue; yellow FRN lock back; 1 7/8" H1 blade, SE grind; sheep's foot blade
    • Belt sheath at 3 o'clock: this one is a little different. Back when I traveled all week every week, I picked up a 'beater' knife at I think Walmart. It's labelled as a Winchester; wood handle with full steel liners; back lock; opens with thumb studs. Blade is about 3 1/8" clip point, hollow grind. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure of all the details of this knife, but I believe it is from the period after Gerber acquired Winchester. My best guess is it is a Winchester-Gerber #22-01691. I've had zero success in figuring out which steel the blade is made of. I did find a pic from around 2012 -- which is about when I got the knife -- on Amazon:
