Most or all of the usual suspects will ride along when I leave this morning. Won't be until about 8:45 but it will be morning.
I can't stop carrying my natural micarta Soda Scout. The blade's heat treat is really hard, yet it's still really tough. It's ruined for me for most of the rest of my knife collection. Most of my blade touch-ups are due to edge roll, or the occasional blade chip. The soda scout's edge never seems to roll, and I haven't put a nick in it yet. And at the end of the day, I can touch up the edge with just a few swipes on a leather strop. I haven't had to take a stone to it since the initial sharpening a few weeks ago. The sheepsfoot blade shape is wicked handy. too. All in all, maybe the best knife purchase I've made in the last 10 years.
You can see the ball bearing lock, i's a little hard to see since that corner of the pic is a bit dark.
