Your comments about being fake and a bragger right after praising a strider knife just struck me as a bit contradictory. I didn't realize you were in the dark on the history of the person behind the company.

I realize that there may be some who consider that clip to be sacrilegious when used in this way, but it has done a great job of keeping it inside my pocket for six months now.

This model is the only one that could tempt me to get a Benchmade again. Else I sold all of them, because I absolutely dislike how they treat their international customers/fans. Though I want to make clear, that their international after sales service (especially Cate) is very good.

For the rest of this week:

    > LF pocket, on dangler: LM Squirt PS4
    > belt sheath at 9 o'clock: LM Blast
    > Coin pocket LadyBug H1 Hawk, SE
    > RF pocket: Full size Case Trapper, Abalone Corelon, Pattern 9254AB -SS. Clip & Spey blades both 3 1/4". Interesting enough, this pattern number does not show up on the Case website; instead I find Pattern 8254. A Google search finds several sellers listing 9254AB as a limited run of 500 units. Nothing on the knife nor in any website illustrations indicates the knives marked as limited editions. All quite strange! Regardless, it is a great looking example of a Case Trapper!

Sorry the pic I grabbed does not do the iridescence of the scales justice!

ThaMac, I'm outside of the US too, but fortunately didn't have to use their customer service yet. What was your bad experience, if you don't mind my asking?

In any case, I also envy you guys in the States when it comes to pricing. People complain about MAP, but here in Europe I pay like 50% more still... Well, I still got a bunch of BMKs in my drawer, I just love the axis lock, and many of their designs just speak to me...

As I said, their after sales service is excellent. There is absolutely nothing to complain about that.

What bums me out, that we here in Europe can never participate in any sales, draws (example on FB), special models, you name it. And the excuse, that it’s about local laws or shipping cost is just that, an excuse. My American “knife guy” ships a piece for 10 bucks and if you are stupid enough to enter a competition and you price is confiscated by customs, your problem.

    Don’t make me go on, I don’t wanna sound like a b*tch.

Maybe it's lack of sleep but my first thought when I saw this was it looks like a gila monster.
Not that that's a bad thing. Nice looking knife.

    Started the new week:

    > LF pocket, on dangler: LM Squirt PS4
    > belt sheath at 9 o'clock: LM Blast
    > Coin pocket Spyderco Manbug, VG-10, SE
    > RF pocket: Case Slim-line Trapper, Black synthetic scales (historic note: Case' website indicates this style of scale is based on the "Gum Fuddy" knives provided for armed forces in WWII. Sorta neat to know!). Item #18228, Pattern 61048 SS. Basically a full size trapper with only a single blade -- a 3 1/4" clip blade. Another member of EDCF once wrote in that he carried this knife especially when dining out at steak houses; to use instead of the poor cutlery he often found there. I liked his style of thinking (can't recall who it was!) -- hence this knife in my collection. I also liked the link to WWII. And yes -- it is shaving sharp.
