For the next couple of days:

    > LF pocket, on dangler: LM Squirt PS4
    > belt sheath at 9 o'clock: LM Blast.
    > Coin pocket: Spyderco Ladybug SS, VG-10 steel; SE grind
    > RF pocket: Buck 301 stockman in a leather slip case. Main blade is a clip point; also has a sheep's foot and what is almost a short spey.

This pattern from Buck is just a tad larger than a medium Case stockman and has their synthetic 'rosewood' scales. It is attractive; came not as sharp as a SS Case. The real negative compared to either Case or Victorinox is the back springs are just not as strong nor as 'crisp' a lockup as either Case or Victorinox. Interestingly, the 301 no longer shows up on the Buck web site. Although it was USA made, now they show a '371' which is basically the same knife -- but made in China. I don't have issues with products from China when well made; but if 301 is discontinued I am just happy to have it in my collection! :)))

    L'chaim!

The 301 (and 303) are not discontinued. The y are just currently heavily backordered, so Buck took them off the site for the time being.

    Thank you Sir.
    That is called Blackwoods CF.
They take normal Twill looking CF, make it really thick (like 3" thick) and then cut the scale slabs from the edge side instead of the face.
Ordinarily, the edges of CF look like this (zebra like) and the face is twill.
With Blackwoods CF the face looks like this (zebra like) and the edges are twill.
See here I used a piece of Blackwoods CF for a backspacer.
What you are actually seeing here (below) is the edge of the material.
    It's very cool/beautiful stuff.

100% agree, that is some beautiful carbon fiber. It's up there with my favorite types, shred and marbled. [IMG]

    Right at this moment:

    > LF pocket, on dangler: LM Squirt PS4
    > belt sheath at 3 o'clock: Buck 112 Ranger.
    > Coin pocket: Spyderco ClipiTool, SE grind as the secondary blade
    > RF pocket: SAK Fieldmaster dangling from a P7

Stay tuned; no doubt I'll change up tomorrow...
