    Finally took the time to put the ZDP blade into the Ti grip and finish the scales on the inside etc. So that the action isn't that bad anymore; the slipjoint in fact feels better compared to the FRN scales (the Ti delicas have a really :censored:ing bad action because they use heavier springs and the insides are very rough and the tolerances are way too tight, ugly thing; but otherwise they're awesome :D)
    Also refinished and sharpened the blade as it was pretty beat up. Now it's pretty much the perfect EDC knife for me; although I would prefer a wharnie blade

    I must be missing a detail somewhere. Didn't know Kershaw made a switchblade. Or were you or the great state of Illinois classifying the Kershaw assisted opening as a switchblade?

    Kershaw has an entire line of auto knives (I don't remember the name of the campaign) and this one is my fave. It's also the only one of theirs I have. As far as Illinois goes, a week or 2 back Gov. Rauner signed into law a bill that allows any FOID card holder to own and carry automatic knives - effective immediately.

    My duty knife currently is a custom Benchmade Griptilian with S30V blade and black G10 handles. Before I got that knife this year, my duty knife was an automatic Benchmade Presidio 5000SBK for several years and served me well.
