Cool, looks BA and fine! For real? That good on edge retention?
Im, sold, i'm getting one. :D
If you're looking for a good result for minor fuss honing system for recurves read on, if otherwise just skip that part man :)

Lemme recommend the lansky system, you can get one for regular shapes and the aftermarket set of stones going from extra coarse to extra fine especially for recurves, i did my ZT301 up just the other day with them, pretty flowy belly on that. I precisioned the angle like i wanted it (inconsistent otb), gave it some 10 minute love and it came out shaving sharp. I'm not with the company or anything, i've just found it suited me and i finally learnt the sound of a consistent stroke, my freehanding improved a lot after.

/End free ad, Lansky if you see this: gimme some free goodies. (Fingers crossed people, stay cool... )

Go for it my som go!

I have a basic clamp kit with a few aftermarket stones in it and used some of them to my chopper without the clamp, worked like magic. Took some time but it really transformed that machetes performance!

I got one of those CS jungle model beasts, classic shape but a bit of belly you know? It's at least 40* on either side but most choppers have enough edge to find it freehand, plus the clamp wont do you much good unless you wanna mod it.

I put a nightmare grind on mine on the 1/4 of blade closes to the handle for cutting smaller vegetation and fresh branches, tapered the stock eith a file and went to work ad 20* with the clamp. Took me forever but it worked out great and flows pretty seamlessly into the wider angler on the rest of it.
Did a kindling scraping edge on the back too, all with the small system stones.

Bushwhacking, gardening, hiking out (no need for an axe with that monster), works perfect.

Dude, that is awesome. I have a CS Magnum Kukri, 17-inch blade and it works like a charm. However, the edge needs sharpened, so I am definitely using your model!!

And +1 on not needing an axe. My friends and I recently did a "$20 survival" on their farm. They brought camp axes and hatchets and STILL asked me if they could use my kukri for chopping! :p

Oh man i was looking for that kukri, had my eyes set and a pocket of cash ready, but local store had one in their glass display for years and sold it the day before But i found an online place that sold the jungle and i just went with it, love it. My first chopper and i'm happy as a clam. Steel is brutal too. I'm no CS regular but i just might track a mid size kukri down if they've got the same steel!

Hahaaa, lucky friends you have, maybe they'll learn something and get their own choppers? More fun, more versa, plus it's a kukri. Come one, they gotta wake up and smell bacon soon :)

Strider SnG, Dagger grind, stonewashed, CTS-40CP, diamond grip, layered G10 and flamed titanium handle.

Excuse the potato quality. It's late, I have a headache but I wanted to flaunt it.

ZT 0350 or Leatherman Wave. I have two gently used Benchmades I'm probably going to sell.
