I'd maybe give it a shot for €15 if shipping won't be same much or maybe when I can handle one at a shop someday :)

@Hagbard81 I like those clips but I guess I'd prefer to add a srewed on clip or use a clip sheath, I don't like them knives dangling around in my pants ;)

I'm sure you have the skills to either add a clip here:

or to build your own sheath with a clip :)

    Yes indeed :)

But first I have to finish cf scales for a Tenacious, then finish a 5yo scales project for a co-worker's switchbade, then some other cf scales for myself (or my dad) and then an idea with coins.. I think there's something else laying around, oh, the copper plate for etching or scales.
So many jobs, so little time ;)

This was Grandpaws. The Spey was worn almost to a point. So I finished the job.

I really like the Urban Trapper but why oh why did they have to put on such a bulky clip?
I'd maybe save up for one with a normal non-deep carry clip but this behemoth??

Oh, and what happened to that pin on the Northwoods knife?

I actually don't mind the clip; it supports the knife in the hand against your palm :D

I don't really know, I got it used and it was like that; my factory new GEC beer scout has the same thing going on. It's a shorter pin and I suspected it was for really pressing the scales onto the liners

    Hm, okay, I guess.

I jsut got the Case Trapperlock from @ThaMac (thanks again) and I understand why he was slightly "underwhelmed" to the least.

A pin like that would be inacceptable for me with this price tag, esp. with the competition from overseas.
Handmade but mediocre QC? A bit strange to me I must admit and that comes from a person working in a handicraft business...

Well if you don't think it should be like that I'll reach out to Northwoods and GEC and ask if it's supposed to be like that ;)

I would definitely do that, pins must be flush at sanded scales or have a head when it's stag or bone.
Tell us what they've replied :)
