There are some pictures on britishblades, basically you grind down the bladetang to where the lock just disengages unser pressure; the axis Lock has some advantages over thebacklock if you Plan on slipjointing a locker knife

May I ask if that is the large or the small Kiku? Also must perform pretty good if it's your daily carry. Any thoughts about its form and function? I have been eyeing a large one recently and will appreciate your insight if possible.

It is the large 5.5 inch blade, i have a bigger hand and the grip is great for me. I really like the micarta, it opens and closes smooth as butter lol, the grind on the blade is a real eye catcher and pleasing to look at. Not to mention it just looks bada**. Ive had this probably close to 2 years, very minimal chipping and i made a tiny ding on the point hitting cutting some zip ties against the frame of a kenworth. The only thing i would changed on it is lowering the clip a little because if you needed to draw it fast for protection the knife is so large you dont get a great grip pulling from the pocket but a flick of the wrist and it will open and lock smoothly. I really want a fixed version to carry for defense

Valth thank you for the feedback! I have only owned one SOG a flashback 2 and it was very light but pivot always loosened up on me. Definitely think I am going to pull the trigger on this one. The designer for the Kiku's has some very beautiful customs and Sog did a wonderful job capturing his design elements and making a gorgeous knife!

Yes kiku blades has some amazing work. I have owned 4 sog blades over the last 8 years and still have them all. I ride with my 12 in sog in the truck and usually have my kiku in my pocket almost everyday. I havent hadto adjust anything on it and nothing has come loose. Ive only sharpened it twice with constant use. Search around for a good deal i got a steal on this one that i couldnt pass up and i love it.

Yes both England and Germany have laws against locking blades.

The Ganzo (Firebird) 758 is pretty amazing for its prize. I like colours.

In Germany you are allowed to carry either a locking blade or a blade that could be opened one-handed.
But you will end up in front of a judge and pay several hundred euros if you carry a knife which both opens one-handed and locks the blade open.
    ;)

Today I carry my Böker Cox. Nice, sturdy slipjoint designed by Anso:
