Also, figured I could ask here. What's your guys opinion on EDCing a spyderco Endura 4? (Blade size is legal in FL)

I personally would get a Tenacious. It can be taken apart and cleaned much easier. It is an easy knife to mod and can be had for 20 bucks less.

The Endura sports VG10 while the Tenacious has 8CR13MOV blade steel. There is not that much difference between the two in regards to edge retention. I read someplace that cardboard cut testing (I think it was 40 meters) on the two steels sharpened the same was nearly identical.

I have owned both, and still own a Tenacious (well, my wife does now...), but I plan to add a second to my collection as it is just a great overall EDC blade.

    Whew... ok, thats my 2cp.

Getting bored of all my knives looking the same. Finding fun new stuff.

Nicely heat treated steel rocks! The people that make Rough Rider know what they are doing!
Never have heard a discouraging word about the cheaper Spyders. I rather like my Kershaw Thermite.

I live in London. Victorinox has a flagship store here which is pretty cool to just walk in browse, play with and purchase any of their products. They had a number in stock but said they were selling fast. Got mine on Saturday.

How's this going? I'm thinking of trying it out for a spin. I like that the blade opens one handed like a knife, versatile like a sak without the weight of a full sized mt.

Still a good fit for me. I thought I had lost it this week and came close to buying another one, but luckily I found it. If you get one, I would recommend the CX for the better quality blade. I don't need all of the features of a MT for a job, so this guy has just the right tools for me for EDC.

Cool man, thanks for the update. I'm thinking in the near future. It reminds me of my pioneer X: just the right amount of tools but with pliers without the weight. Thanks again

I will second the skeletool CX, it is one of the only true edc items I have. I have several knives and pens I rotate through, but the skeletool is always there unless I am naked or on a plane.

I like it because its S30V blade has crazy edge retention. Also like it for the cocobolo scales. And that it isn't being made anymore since the company went kaput.
