Put the Manix 2 XL back in rotation today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rule #9: Never go anywhere without a knife. ~Leroy Jethro Gibbs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hinderer Knives: 3.5" XM-18 Sparrow Grind CPM 3V FRAG Pattern. Special run Made for Monkey Edge. Ion Bond DLC PVD Coating PVD is Physical Vapor Deposition and is a process by which a material is evaporated and then deposited (coated) onto a surface. Unlike many coatings that are thick and have high spots, PVD coatings can literally be laid on atoms thick and the coating is even. In this case, the DLC stands for Diamond Like Carbon in which the material being deposited is carbon (along with a trade secret of other minerals). The result is a tough finish that is incredibly corrosion resistant. In addition, it just plain looks great. PVD is not a paint and therefore will not flake off. Specifications: Overall Length: 8.25 in Blade Length: 3.5 in Cutting Edge Length: 3.16 in Blade Thickness: .165 in Closed Length: 4.72 in Weight: 5.6 Ounces Blade Material: CPM 3V Handle Material: Titanium w/G10 Scale
What's not to like about an XM except for maybe the price. I ain't letting the ZT0566BW get away y'all!
Love the blurple, but a little unimpressed with the knife itself. Not bad, but no ZT 0450. Sent from my Glade Air Freshener.
Short answer: I GOT BORED . Well, it's one of my first better quality knives that I've bought and I wanted to try Cold Steel's 'serrations'. They were good right out of the box but after couple of months they dull up and started so tare apart stuff and didn't cut well at all, so I removed them. After some time, I tried to make it something different so I made that one big hook for ropes and such, mostly pull cutting, it turned out well and sharp, but I also agree that it'd ugly as hell .
Put a hinderer clip on my ZT0450CF today just to see what it looks like. I like it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
