Rotating between a Delica 4 (purple handle with a half serrated non FFG blade) and my collection of sleeve style single edge razor blade holders. I do not feel bad beating on a single edge blade, as I buy them 100 at a time for my business. The Delica is mainly used as an IWB companion when I wear running shorts! So light and the plastic handle does not "rub me the wrong way". At home I have been carrying a folding Stanley utility knife as I am currently involved in 5 bathroom remodels on 2 floors so I am always at least 50 feet away from my tools. The end is near... 3 down, 2 to go.
One of my favorite beaters (mostly used for yard work) is a craftsman folder that uses utility blades. It's the oval one that comes in a half dozen colors.
I like the G10 handles I've carried it around the house on my neck. I really like this style of carry. The only problem is I can't carry it under my shirt, and if I carry it openly, I might scare someone. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Repeat of the days prior to this one. Went into a place with "no weapons policy" what is ZT0566BW if not a weapon? No notice was made of it. Texas rocks for knife carry!
NelsonIII here is a pic, not mine but I do not have an example on my person right now. The single edge blade is slotted into the metal inner handle and the outer sleeve just slides back and forth to open and close. Friction keeps it on, no lock or other moving parts. These carry very well, especially in a pocket with a wallet or other flat item. Good for opening clam style packages, cutting string, tape, etc. Not much good for food prep, and very little of the bade is exposed. Another plus is that when the bade dulls you can flip it around and use the fresh half that is not exposed. I have done light prying with the non business end too.
How do you like the TRE? I just got one in black G10 and am thinking about returning it because the thing doesn't flip! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
