Currently rotates between a Walther P99AS or a PPS, depending on wardrobe/occasion. (Bottom two in this pic) Tried carrying my G19, but it kept knocking my knee.. lol *gratuitous pic*
Ruger LCR .357. XDs is out for some trigger work and soon the .357 is going to be traded in for the LCRx
I picked up a nice set of VZ grips for the Rock. To paraphrase Gabriel Iglesias, "It's a sexy beeeeetch!"
Today is my Les Baer Premier II in a Milt Sparks Heritage holster. With my backup Glock 42 in my Pocket... Pics to come later.
i can safely state for the record that's the first stippled bm grip grip i've ever encountered in the wild.
just finished the front and rear sight installation on my LCP... milled a shallow 1/8" cut in the slide, and silver soldered a piece of 1/8" key stock... rear is a 1911 take off, with the hole opened up 1/8"... haven't regulated the sight yet...
Lately I've been carrying this Sig P250SC-45 in a Remora holster. Generally I'm a die hard single-action trigger guy, but for a DAO, this has a very smooth pull and an exceptionally clean break. When I want something a little lighter and more compact, it's still to good old Sig P938EQ, also in a Remora.
Nice pair of Sigs! I have a P250SC in .45 as well (all black finish) that I really like. The DAO on it is one of the better ones I've come across. I recently got an exchange kit for it so I can switch to the Compact size (also in .45). Both size shoot well but the Compact is the better of the two IMO. I just need to get a second mag for the Compact size. How do you like the Pachmyar grip on there? The pistol is excellent in either configuration as an EDC.
Smith & Wesson 22A LR Definitely doesn't pack as much punch as a 9mm or .45, but it is accurate and reliable. Is a bit large, but cheap to purchase ammo to become extremely proficient with. It is a good idea to carry something a little bigger, but is unnecessary if you can hit your target with ease.
I carry a Kel-Tec P3AT. It is by far the best EDC pistol I own. I have the pocket clip installed and I carry it in the small of my back. You really cannot even tell it is there, and even with dress slacks on it remains hidden. I usually practice at the range with it (and my other firearms) at least once or twice a month. I think that is what makes you not only proficient with your weapon in terms of accuracy, but also with being comfortable with it. I make sure that my wife and son are also comfortable with a firearm for this very reason.
The Pachy grip sleeve makes a considerable difference to the "in hand" feel of the sub compact and makes its already fairly tame recoil just a bit easier. I just (about an hour ago) ordered a compact grip assembly and magazine from the Sig store. The plan is to mill down the front of the compact frame's railed dust cover to fit the sub compact slide... this will give me a SC overall length and a slightly taller gun with a 9+1 capacity.
Thanks for the info on the grip. I may need to get ahold of one. Please share some pics of the work once you get the compact kit done.
I'll take lotsa pics and gladly share them This is the grip I have on the P250SC... I wound up trimming the bottom-rear of it a bit where it didn't snug up to the curve of the grip. www-DOT-amazon-DOT-com/gp/product/B000JWMDI6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I like this idea. I have a P250SC in 9mm and been trying to find a .45 ACP X-Change kit forever. Are you saying you can throw in the SC slide and the mechanism in a Compact frame? I may do this soon.
Picked up a new Gen3 G26 last week... now the search for "the" holster begins. (Better get a new "nope, not that holster" box!)
