Here is a Streamlight Protac 2AAA that I've carried for 9 years. It clips in my left front pocket, has a simple UI (low, high, strobe) and a super firm clicky that rarely activates accidentally. I play with other lights but always come back to this one. The Streamlight Stylus Pro is another favorite, which is very similar but without the strobe and it has a little less output.
I’m surprised a gun guy would say such a crazy thing Why use a single shot derringer for self defense when a better designed, ergonomically improved, repeat strike full capacity semi-auto, or nice revolver, or that self defense carbine are available for the same? What if you need that phone to call 911 or get in touch with someone during an emergency? What if you need that phone battery to last the longest possible time? These are rhetorical questions. Just a little food for thought. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Streamlight Pocketmate is a great keychain light, it's my true EDC and is good enough that it's legitimately taken over for most of my other small lights. If I need more than it's offering (325/45 lumens, relatively short battery life), I'm generally carrying a more-specialized (larger, brighter, multi-mode, headlamp, etc) light. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09351YJFC

On my second TINI2; one aluminum and recently got the Titanium. For me, this is a great little light. Had the original TINI and liked it but would occasionally turn on in the pocket. The TINI2 has a very good 2-stage lockout and boasts 500 lumens in turbo. The technology in this thing is impressive.
