The FW3A does come on quite easily. What do you think about the light aside from that problem? There is a pretty simple looking mod that involves replacing the rubber nub in the switch with an o-ring. I've heard it requires roughly 4x the pressure to activate the switch after the mod. Haven't gotten around to doing it myself yet. Most of my favorite lights are quite shy of the 1500 lumen mark ranging from 500-900ish.

I use the lockout feature. Also not perfect, but it works. I like that it has two levels of momentary while in lockout.

I'm with the others on this, I use lockout and the o-ring mod is not that tough to do. "Simple Operation" is another thing altogether though, Anduril can be complicated if you go beyond a few clicks...

Mine still turns on in pocket unless I unscrew it.

FW3A has a couple options. First, you can modify the button, replacing the little "nubbin" with an o-ring. This firms up operation to reduce accidental activation. I did this and it works great. 5/32". As an added precaution, I rotate the head slightly for a lock-out (it's not a full lockout, but LEDs will not come on). Works like a charm.

How is this not a full lockout?
You are interrupting current flow to the light.

Maglite xl200 or xl50 both are great lights and even though I have one with me most days I've only had to use maybe a dozen or so times a year.

Still hanging on with my mag solitaire daily. Old reliable hasn't let me down in over 6 years of carry.

Am I on solid ground that yours is the LED type?

I ask because I still have a couple of the mini-Maglites that are NOT LED types... don't use them much anymore but they are stationed at various places in the house for convenience... I do have a 3 x C-cell Maglite that rides in the car; it is definitely an LED. :). As are most all of my other lights of course!

Yes it is. I know there are nicer looking lights with higher lumens (the mag led is 47 lumens) and more features. I even have a couple myself but I havent felt the need to change my edc with the long term reliability of my light.

If it ain’t broke.....;) I have plenty of lights, but in all honesty most of my needs are covered with 15 lumens or less.

BTW, I like the background for your pic!

I'm currently carrying the Streamlight Microstream USB. Had been carrying the original Microstream but I like the ability to recharge it with a USB cable. Seems like they are lying around everywhere.

Not sure it’s an EDC light but it’s new and a beast. The Noctigon KR1vn, Vihn from Skylumen has tweaked this a bit and it puts out 5000 Lumens and has a throw of 725 yards. Very nice build quality, finishing and a lot of light for the dough. The UI is a little wonky but handy once figured out.

I just ordered one of these last night. I have Vihn’s Emissar D4vn with throw optics which is great, but this one has me intrigued.
