Fenix LOD. This thing is been with me for over 10 Years. Really worn down as it lives on my keychain and goes out with me at least 80% of the time. Love that little light so much have not felt the need to ever "upgrade" It does what I need it too do really well and meets my needs. It's weather proof, and still works like it's new.
Streamlight stylus pro. Been my go to for over 5-years now. tried others but this one keeps coming around and staying in my pocket
Very nice setup and similar to what I have today at work. Keys in my truck have my (2nd) Sidekick. The first o e was replaced by Surefire (faulty switch after close to a year). Ra/HDS clicky 200CN Backup: maratac cooper Hardhat (not shown): Petzl Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Looks like that Clicky has seen a lot of use. Is it still working correctly? HDS have to be some of the toughest lights out there.
I've used it as my work light for over ten years. Occasionally use it as a hammer/pry bar in a pinch and it still keeps going and going. Five or six years ago , I sent the tail switch to Henry but other than that it's a tank. My only quirk is that he doesn't overdrive the led on at least one model. Henry please release a 500lm model within 10 yrs please! Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Made a small change. Since my last post here I bought a Surefire G2X Pro 600lm version and found myself wanting to carry it more than the HDS. Generally I use the sidekick for everything EDC but it’s nice knowing I have the bigger light on me too for its two very useful output modes and further throw. Running on CR123s so I don’t have to worry about charging it for those occasions I do need to call upon it.
These are the two I’m carrying more than others...right now. What’s bad is that I always get a pen and paper when viewing these topics and I think my Amex just winked at me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A very good light. It has a powerful flood beam and is very lightweight. It's flat and sits well in the pocket. I wish it could tail stand but that's a non-issue. This is a light I would have to replace if it were lost/stolen and I will look forward to this design's performance improvements over the years.
I must say I didn’t expect to like the maxvision beam as much as I did on the Sidekick. Such a useful beam for EDC. Somehow it’s all flood without being weak like a mule light.
So as of this morning this will be my second Surefire Sidekick that has crapped out on me (flaky switch). Not sure if I will return this one back . Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
I subscribe to high dynamic range philosophy. I EDC an Emisar D4 for a high end of ~3000 lumens and a pretty low low. I've also added a thrunite TI as a backup light because the Emisar is a bit hungry. I also use an old Liteflux LF2XT for night time sub-lumen low. That one is too cool for me to risk losing by EDCing (or sending through the laundry...) so I carry the others hehe.
