Got the batteries from Mountain as well as the light, well both lights actually.
He is great and ships quickly too!

Both are 219 but the U.I. on the D4S is somewhat different as you know if you read ToyKeepers comments on the BLF pages that you link to.
The ramping is smoother it seems and you can choose stepped ramping and pick the start & stop ceilings for it too.
Also those Aux leds are crazy!
The pic above is the high setting and it is like a lantern in the dark.pretty cool!
The Low setting is like Trit Glow really and equally cool and yo can have these come on when the light is off and locked out at different levels or not at all.

They are clearly family but the Big Bro is a Monster compared to the relatively Tiny D4,though it sure didn't seem Tiny before the D4S either!?

I have been carrying both since getting the big one along with an SC64w and have not burned my junk off once although there was one time where I was a little worried when the ZL was still on in pocket?

I just can not get over how much light you get for the money with these Emisar's !

Oh and talk about another seriously bad name for a battery?

I carry my old thrunite t10s daily. Love this light.

But i massively upped my flashlight game last month and bought a few li ion lights and batteries and tried new tints and emitters.

Now an emisar d4 with 219c with short tube is in the daily mix and a wizard pro is in my backpack.

There are some other fun lights like a tiny16340 that is impressively bright for its size. Will be great next summer.

Still thinking if I should get a d4s..

If you got the d4s already I'd say no.. just get some kind of flood filter or diffusor for your d1 and a short tube.

I'm liking the 1000 lumens and 254h runtime. Lol
If only that were possible, I'd certainly like that in an 18650 powered torch.

Very nice. Keep an eye on the switch. Mine became flaky but surefire sent me a new one after a month and a half of being service. ~9 months and it is still going strong.

I just switched over to this little guy, it's made by nicron uses a single AA cell and is called the N7. It was a gift I got for Christmas and I gotta say for a cheap light from a company I have never heard of it seems decent. I threw it into my Nutsac MBD as my primary light and we will see how it holds up. I really like how it bends and becomes a right angle light. [IMG][IMG]

    It's 254 hours at 12 lumens with a 3500mA battery. 2.7 hours at 900 lumens.

Yes, I gathered that would be the cause,....900 lumens for over two and half hours is pretty impressive though.

Thanks for the heads up! So far so good. I picked this up on Black Friday for $20 (and 4 others for gifts) so I'm giving it a shot. I love my Surefire Titan plus but the weight and convenience of the side kick is nice. Hopefully it lasts.

Yes it is, and it has pretty good tension it's not a weak and flimsy clip which surprised me.
