The following 4 lights are in rotation depending on what I am doing: HDS 120, L3 Illumination L10, or L11C, or a SureFire C2 with Malkoff M61.

I really love my Olight S Mini in Rainbow Titanium. It's so small and lightweight, plus the PVD coating looks and feels awesome. Packs a lot of power into such a small size which will fit into any pocket.

I lost my 4 year old Surefire EB1 and used it as an excuse to get a new red Aviator. Of course I found my EB1 two days after by new light arrived, but I'm not going to complain about that

Just a fenix e01 at the moment. I'd carry my Elzetta Bravo if I had more room in my jeans pockets- I've made a belt pouch, but it's bulky.

I've always really liked the Surefire Backup form factor (specifically the e1b and eb1) but their regulation system irritates me for the money they charge so I'll spend my money elsewhere. I'd rather, for that money, have a lower brightness light that was regulated at that brightness for a while than have a light that's 1000 lumens for two minutes then steps down to 750. To me that's a 750 lumen light.

I`m currently carrying a black aluminum MBI HF-R on my keychain. I used to use the Fenix LD01, which I liked a lot as well.

My surefire backup took a dump back in April and I looked for a long time for a replacement. I wanted rechargeable because I legit use (not play lol) my lights a lot and cr123 battery diets get expensive.

After a few months of research I ended up with an olight S1R turbo s. Cost a lot less than another surefire backup and is a better build quality wise. Lots of options and an easy to use singe switch. I don't carry steel wool in my pocket so I'm not worried about the magnetic charge tail cap. I get more options light wise with it over the backup and a charge lasts longer than single cr123 did in the backup. I got a couple spare batteries just in case and will be getting a charge cable for the car.

I have an old CMG Infinity Ultra that is first gen led flashlight. Still works and a single aa lithium lasts forever and a regular aa burns 100 hours, but it's only 2~ lumens. I just replaced it with a nitecore tip a while back and let's just say it's a huge upgrade and weighs less than half the weight of the dinosaur led light I used to use. The Infinity ultra was my necker I always wore. The TIP took its place and with 360 lumens on tap if I need it, makes me happy. Best part is the Infinity Ultra was so high tech way back in the day, it was $40.00 almost 20 years ago. $30.00 for the nitecore TIP is a steal.

The tail cap is a live contact, thus it is a potential fire hazard - with or without steel wool.

One of the contacts is recessed. Other than steel wool you have to try, and try hard to make contact between the two. I don't treat my lights as fidget toys so I'm good. If it were an actual issue it wouldn't be water submersible.

I carry mine lamp down and there isn't anything in my daily life or running around the woods that will cause any hazard, unless I'm trying to manufacture a hazard.

I actually like the side button better, any tail cap switch I've owned has had multiple incidental turn ons. Only place I use tail cap switch lights these days is on weapon mounted lights.

LOL, right. The contacts aren't the only thing exposed.

Yup, there's a lamp and exposed button too.

There's also people in this world who will shoot their foot with a Glock because it don't have a "safety". It's only unsafe or a hazard because they think it's a hazard or unsafe.

The UI is the most simple of multiple mode lights too.

It's a far better light than the crappy poor quality surefire backup I had. It's the ONLY led light I've had break from normal everyday use in a short 5 years. I wouldn't buy another even if it were the price of the S1R.

I'll let everyone know if my S1R spontaneously explodes.

On my S10R and S30R not only is the centre pin recessed, you have to push it in a bit to make a connection to the battery. Very little risk of shorting the battery out even if you did have wire wool in your pocket.

I've been carrying this Atactical A1s. I stripped the anodize off with drain cleaner and buffed it with scotch bright. I might do a little machining to it when I get the time. It's a nice light, especially for the price. [IMG]

I've been carrying this Manker U11 lately. I haven't decided if I like yet. It's well built and powerful enough, I'm just not sold on the UI yet. [IMG]
