Nice Maze Pendant. LOL ... any flashlight warranty issues?
Don't tell me I'm gonna have to take video of me beating up a light...
Kidding of course but yeah, the Maze Pendant was real bad Tonker tough under your YT'ed hammer barrage here & here.
My Fenix LD12 gave me lots of problems again, even after Fenix sent me a new head for it. After much thoughts and consideration, I chose to save up my money and bought myself the Surefire E1B backup (I chose it over the EB1 cause of the length). After several months, it is still working great, and I love it alot.
I will work on it.
My current EDC light is a 47's Quark 123 Tactical Neutral XP-G. That's a mouthful!
I'm adding my Fenix EO5 back into my rotation but I'll pocket carry it from now on. Here's a pick of it after carrying it on my keys and now after spray painting it green.
Great job in recycling
I think it came out pretty good, just no markings on it now saying Fenix EO5.
Yeah, it could use a little airbrush perhaps
Probably but it's better then before and I like the green, besides I'm not great with spraypaint anyway.
1000 lumen flashlight is up on kickstarter, keychian size and its programmable, looks pretty legit might wanna check it out. Little expensive/overkill for me but just a fyi.
did you put money in for the quasar or sun?
I didnt back the project, dont really have the need for it or the money at the time haha. Just figured the guys and girls here would like to check it out/support the project
I would donate but I'm just not convinced of the 1000 lumen claim. I'll wait and see if it's the real deal. Also, the UI looks insane. Did you see the diagram? I don't even understand that... how could I ever hope to figure it out?
Yea no kidding, 1000 lumens in a light that small, with that kind of circuitry is pretty amazing if it all works as advertised. Biggest problem with kickstarter is the backers of the first batch of products kinda serve a guinea pigs, some come out amazing, others not so much. Hopefully this one is what it claims and is awesome, has a lot of potential, still not sold on the UI tho, seems like it could be a little overkill for the average person. I personally dont need that much, im stoked with my nitecore ez123 r2 that ive had for 3+ years
keepin it simple
Tiablo E3A, Surefire 6P LED and Jetbeam PA40 smooth reflector
Just got this guy in today
There is an extensive discussion on CPF about this light.
The general concensus is that it is running a Lux-RC 3-Up all-in-one module. This is the same module in use by Mac (of Mac's Customs), Moddoo (of TorchLab/Oveready) and of course, Lux-RC. The UI diagram you see is how exactly how that module can be programmed in each of those lights.
Lux-RC has already commented saying that they never approved the posting of the UI diagram, and I would imagine Oveready will have something to say about trying to draw a tenuous link between this new light and the Moddoolar Shorty that appears in Oblivion.
TL;DR: this Kickstarter stinks. They purchased someone else's module, wrapped some metal around it and are promoting it without asking for permission to use the images.
Does yours look like this?
Because mine looks like this now
