Been away for awhile but enjoyed catching up on this thread! Now I am EDCing either a Quark 123 Neutral or a Nitecore EZ CR2 warm if I want something small. Both lights provide a similar neutral/warm tint.I also have red and purple Photon Freedoms on my keychain. For my coat/cargo pockets I still carry my INOVA T1 often but I have several lights with Malkoff M60Ws or M61Ws in them that I alternate.Basically I've gone to neutral LEDs in most of lights I EDC as the tint works well for me both indoors and out.
My new EDC arrived today, it's a Mac's EDC in titanium: Fits very nicely in the pocket as you can see!
My Microstream came today. I bought it to do just that with my stainless LD01. Getting the head off of the MS is tough. Gonna get some mini hose clams after work tomorrow and try it again.
I carry a Mini Maglite 3AA LED light, so much better than the original bi pin bulb models. I want to get one of the glass breaker endcaps for it. Until recently I didn't even know such an item existed----Gotta luv the 'net.
Hang around here long enough and you'll find a lot of things that you didn't know existed...my wallet can attest to that :broke:.
You got one where Streamlight forgot to put loctite around the bezel. For many of us, including me, getting that head to come off is a herculian effort.
Right now my EDC light is a 4sevens preon 2. Its the one with the Ti tail cap and emitter head with the black body. It has been great thus far.
conquer88 Did you add another O-ring to close the gap? I ground some of the threads off my MS body. Got the MS head on the Ld01 body working this weekend too. It's on wife's keys now.
SureFires are built like tanks for a reason. Your L4 can literally saw through the body of lesser flashlights. (Such as a Mini-Maglite.) And yes, I've seen it done.
