Surefire L2 Lumimax, or Surefire L1 Lumimax, either will get the job done...
Currently its a Coleman Max Cree, it's the 2 cr2 version from walmart. I've been carrying it for about 4 months, and Ive found it's a superior replacement for my Fenix E01.
Lately I've been using an Ra Twisty 85-Tr. Just came this week and it's a pretty sweet light.
those make great high-powered laser hosts. people at laserpointerforums make heatsinks for them.
Right now it's a PD30+:
I've been using it with the red lens cover and it's pretty good, specially in the bedroom or when I don't want to spoil my night vision. Absolutely awesome flashlight!
By next week I'll (hopefully) get my new Quark AA² (R5 Edition), and then maybe the PD30+ will loose it's post as my EDC light.

jet beam III M for work and the rrt-0 for evenings and weekends lol
Can't imagine life with my streamlight microstream. Clips in my front pocket right next to my mini pilot gel pen. Awesome!!!!
I just recently started carrying a Quark AA^2 R5. Love it.
My main EDC keeps changing. Currently it's the one I carry most of the time...
Black E2E body with E2D tailcap, attached to an Optics HQ / TLS Q5 LED head (single-output version, no teeth, designed for 2xCR123 cells). All black flashlight pumping out 200+ lumens. Beam profile is nearly ideal. An excellent combination of both flood, and throw.
Secondary light is my Fenix L0D rebel 80. Carrying it clipped to the top of my back pocket on a Fenix lobster claw clip didn't work out. Took the clip off, replaced it with the small split-ring from my Fenix E01. My L0D is currently sitting in my 3x5 notepad organizer. Will soon add a short lanyard by attaching it through the split ring. My L0D will be easier to pull out, and the lanyard will add a bit of much needed length to the light.
Still carrying my Maratac AAA model in my back pocket. That might not last too long now that I found an unannoying way to carry my L0D.
Photon Freedom on my main keyring. Quite waterproof. (Unlike the Photon II models I used to carry.)
The L0D and the Freedom have found permanent spots in my EDC rotation.
My new EDC, replacing a "misplaced" black one. Love it, highly, highly recommended. E1B- Vanilla Flavored.
It's simply a perfect light.
Quark Ti AA MiNi attached to a Victorinox belt hanger. About the same wait as my old Fenix LD01 SS, but a lot mor powerful and with a real long run time in low mode. I also carry around a Deal Extreme silicone bike elastic, allows this light to be a bicycle light too.
I have an Arc Ti AAA that I really like and often carry around, but the Quark really is more functional.
Solo, I'd gladly take the old one off your hands! :-X
Corbs - what's that old movie line...."you can have it ...when you pry it from my cold dead fingers..." :lolhammer:

simply put, the best light i have ever carried.surefire backup
It seems noone has a bad word to say for the backup.
Actually, I ped on getting one when I got the early heads-up that Surefire was going to increase the price on them from $109 to $149. Had a bit of sweat on my hand, and the display model I tried out nearly squirted out of my hand. Also, would be nice to have a bit of sidespill. But you don't really expect that from a light using an optic.
I currently alternate between a Surefire E1L (gen. 1) and a Fenix LD10. I was carrying a surefire L4 Lumamax but I tend to prefer the single cell lights.
The leatherman labled Fenix L1T https://www.fenix-store.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_69_50&products_id=334
Got it AND a full-sized leatherman tool(forget which model, just a basic one) for $20 on closeout at Costco.
I have a Surefire 6P Defender as an EDC. And a Surefire z2 combatlight next to my bedside for those things that go bump in the night.
