It looks like a fairly well built light for the price. Sweet!!
They are very nice lights!
You can read up on mine here: http://aww-no-bueno.blogspot.com/2012/08/sipik-sk-68-good-example-of-value-vs.html
Mine's only the single mode one though; I got it prior to their release of the 3-mode one.
Nice, that's what a real light should look like - well used
A Fenix E05. I've had it over a year. It stays on my keys. Plus I keep a spare AAA with me. I also keep two more AAA batteries in my Maxpedition EDC.
I got the Ultrafire version, which is identical. It is a fantastic value.
Can someone direct me to the 3 mode version? I've the single mode one and would like the multi mode one for the car.
This is the Ultrafire Sipik clone I got and it has the three modes. It's down to $5.65 with free shipping.
That's the one I have, great light, but, its more like a 6 mode, hi-off-low-off-flash-off, then back to hi. The other thing is it has a square dot, kinda weird but still not a bad light for $6!
Just received the little guy today.
I also ordered a Nichia 92 CRI led but haven't got it yet. Gotta warm this one up.
The square dot is the image of the LED emitter you see when the lens focuses it.
+1 on Quantum DD.
My Romison is like that. Is the Ultrafire/Sipik able to flood at all(adjustable at all)?
Yep, you slide the head up and down to adjust the beam. It works really well.
When you say slide, do you mean push in & pull out, or screw in & out like the Romisen?
Push and pull. Very easy for one handed operation.
Cool. Thanks. That Romisen is a pain, screwing it in & out.
The Sipik's surprisingly good all round for the price. I have some decent flashlights, and also went through a phase of 'cherry picking' the best of the budget lights from DX and the popular auction site, and this one still surprised me. It was worth $5 just for the fun of playing with the zoom
If you half press the button on the Sipik it will cycle to the next mode. Faster/less annoying than a full press.
