Thanks, wanderer! I appreciate your comments. The 'El Capitan' version of the P-35 definitely gives-off that classic, European-vibe. When I first saw-her in the case; I had-to-have-it. Just like handling a vintage Luger, or Walther P-38.
saw this posted on a gun board; passing along... https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2019/2/27/winchester-issues-product-warning-and-recall-notice-for-certain-38-spl-ammo/
I always enjoy looking at what others have adopted, and am always ready to steal someone's ideas... just a question, how many carry some form of light?... not just an EDC light (which I also carry), but a dedicated light for target illumination.... when I recently switched to a G43 and Tulster mag pouch, I repurposed an old kydex 1911 mag holder, and formed a small loop that can carry a 1 AA size light, attached next to the G43 mag pouch...relatively inconspicuous.... currently the position is occupied by a Thrunight Archer 1v
I have lights mounted on my Hd guns. 800 lumen on the pistol, 1K+ on the rifle. But for edc of a handgun I have a 100 lumen TLR 6 on my shield and nothing on my 1911s. I don't spend much time out at all hours of the night, I don't hide much in dark buildings, and I have a light on my keys (and already in my hand) if it's that dark. I can't really imagine a threat where it's too dark to ID but not too dark to already be there out in the world, so it's not a deal breaker for me. caveat, If there's a storm coming or I have reason to think we may lose power or be really dark, I have holsters for my HD pistols wearing lights. So I can grab one if I need to. Otherwise where I am in the suburbs never dark and never silent. Depressing but sometimes convenient.

LCP II loaded with inceptor arx ammo and an extra mag in a small knife pouch(fits like a glove and hides in plain sight on my belt next to my actual knife pouch) Sent from my Z958 using Tapatalk
Work and play. I can't wait for shield arms to release their flush fitting 15 round mag. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
it is starting to heat up down here... and riding the bicycle has turned to a nylon shorts and single shirt with no cover up... so have switched back to the Glock G42 (.380) in a Recluse cargo pocket holster... I did just add a Pearce +1 extension... did not significantly add to the print of the pocket gun
Carry a Glock 43 or. Glock 19. Really thinking of checking out the Sig 320c Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
last upgrade to the G42.... I wear bi focal glasses, corrected for a pretty bad astigmatism... my competition Glock 34 and G17 have Heinie slant pro sights, with the front thinned to .090"... the sights on the G43 were upgraded immediately upon purchase, but since the G42 was being relegated to second team, did not get the upgrade... well a package came from Dawson Precision today, so added a pair of David's fixed sights to the G42...after adjusting for some windage, was able to keep 5 of 7 Fiocchi JHP's on an 8" plate at about 20m this afternoon... I'm pretty happy with the outcome of having two carry packages that meet, and exceed my expectations if you have a G42 you might make sure you lube the firing pin safety plunger, and since the trigger bar fits pretty tightly to the polymer body, a little lube there really helps the trigger pull
Still rocking a 2.0 M&P. Since it's summertime, the Compact is in my holster. The only changes are the Ameriglo Hackathorn sights and an Apex Gunsmith fit 9mm barrel. It was the best option, since they don't make .40 to 9mm conversion barrels for the compact 4" yet.
S&w m&p shield 9mm, Apex trigger kit, tlr-6 and hogue grip. Factory night sights and added a rear slide cover to match the fish scale pattern on the slide.
