We all EDC pocket knives -- but I am wondering what was the last thing you pulled your knife out to cut? I'll start -- I cut a paracord to make a lanyard.
I've cut a rope for my son's balloon. Otherwise I use my knife on job to cut things like EVA foam, rawhide or a thread at the sewing machine (the scissor there is for the show only).
What folding knife did you use to cut onions? Personally I reach for the big kitchen knives when doing most food prep.
Cut out some leather and padding for the stool I was making with my junkyard dog and some apples and mangos with my knockout.
my fingernails using SAK scissors, much to the girlfriends annoyance. was sat in her kitchen at the time.
A large square hay bale. I do it about twice a week. I must use a blade to cut something about 50x per day. That, and a pair of scissors (on a knife of course). For me, a knife truly is an indispensable tool. I can't go outside without one!
With my pocket knife - several packages came in the mail yesterday. So cutting packing tape on the outer boxes, cutting tape, plastic pouches, and box tops on the contents of the big box and of the other boxes / mailing pouches. Today, used my wife's pocket knife (because it was nearby) to cut through the plastic rings on 8-bottle packs of cokes to create several 4-bottle packs - they fit in the fridge easier that way. In doing that I noticed her knife was not sharp and that the edge was chewed up, so I sharpened it for her.
Modified some shipping boxes for a more economical fit at work this afternoon. (cut them to size and cut new flaps)- My Spyderco Gayle Bradley loves to eat through cardboard..
Extra thick ribeyes on a wooden board, grill side. We were outside away from the kitchen. I would normally used my Opinel no 10 for food, but left my bag in the car. ZT 303 put up a good show for the crowd.
