    Benchmade 553. Used off EBay shipped from Canada. Had almost no edge when I got it but it's now shaving sharp. So far I love it.

    Got these three items during the last month... that's the biggest EDC frenzy I've ever had. :frantic:
    Antiqued brass Zippo, Kershaw cryo blackwash, and a tan fisher bullet space pen.

    Found me a nice an cheap every-day-car gadget today in local store;

    [IMG]

    Takes two AAAs, nice waterproof and can do all kinds of fancy lightshows (rotatin light, pulses, SOS, continuous on med/high and has flash-light function where only 2 of the 16 leds turn on). Nice rugged and waterproof!

    [IMG]

    Was under 4 euros so i could not resist, now i don't have to put my more fancy lights down on the ground anymore in case of traffic accidents ;)

    I didn't buy it recently, but I found em! About 5 years ago, I bought a g17 & wanted to add some decalgrips to it. However, I couldn't find the 17 version, so I got the 26/27 version & just used everything but the grip panels as that was my plan in the first place. Flash forward to last year, I got a 27, but I coulda swore I gave the grip panels to a buddy of mine. Well, Day before yesterday, I was goin' through some stickers ( I cover the name on my work namebadge) & lo & behold, I found wher I squirrelled 'em away so on they went!

    I do 24-48 hour days all the time but the longest I've been without sleep was back in high school. I went 5 almost 6 days without sleep which lead to a break down at school. I don't remember much from that day other than another sleepless night, going to school, passing out during football practice, and waking up in the hospital with no real memory of the past few days.

    Since then I have participated to countless sleep studies and have gone through my fair share of countless trail drugs and what not. I get tired of hearing lets try this new drug or lets try this new sleep study in BFE.

    People who don't really know much about insomnia think meds, excessive exercise, and other home remedies should work but unfortunately in my case they don't. They only thing that seems to phase me is high doses of sleep meds and meds to calm my thought process.

    The pros are I can get a lot more done in a single day because while most are sleeping I'm awake. The cons are I can't be around people who are sick because my immune system is :censored: and I have to constantly write myself notes because my short term memory is shot as well.

    I'm so sorry to hear that brother, really. I work nights and I'm sleep deprived during my work week hence why I asked bc my co workers and I talk about our odds hours and our lack of sleep all the time, but def doesn't compare to yours. I remember the very first night I worked nights, I didn't want to mess up by falling asleep at work, I took a 5 hour energy around 2am, I didn't sleep for two days. I don't know if it was the sun that kept my body alert and not sleep or the 5 hour energy but I remember being delirious not sleeping for so long. But again, it doesn't compare to what you have to go through. I really hope you find something that will help :/

    I bought a TelePen and a keychain with thermometer/compass/light:

    Sometimes I wish I had a thermometer with me. Too bad I don't use a Samsung phone. I got this from a shop - trying to support local businesses.

    Woah - another Israeli on EDCForums... awesome.

    The Zippo lighter looks cool and the knife looks sturdy. Two thumbs up :)
