my newest EDC purchase
Picked up a few items in the last couple of weeks. Also got an order from CountyComm on the way.
CDavisJK hope you have better luck with your order than I'm having! UPS hasn't updated their site since Monday and Countrycomm won't respond to my emails! Waiting on an email I sent to UPS............... Was supposed to be delivered on the 27th..............
Woot! Scored an Atwood G5 here in the EDCF Support thread, and got an ITP EOS A1 in the mail today.
I have had an S90 for while now and LOVE it. Great little cameras when you can't lug your DSLR with you.
Finally upgraded my AA Maglite with the Nite-ize LED combo kit.
heres a couple things i picked up in the last few days
a set of 5 S-biners (4 silver, 1 "chameleon").
6 packs of Zippo flints and 6 Zippo wicks. i got them on ebay for a sweet deal. i guess i wont be running out any time soon
Got an Opinel and a S&W Survival Pen from EDC Depot. Plus the free spy capsule. Gotta love 'em for the quick shipping.
Note to self: Get a better camera.
Yesterday I pickup a Spyderco Bug. This is one real small knife. Yet it's a real knife, solid and sharp. But so tiny!
Here it is with my Spyderco Persistance.
Be part of the solution, not part
of the problem.
They make the plastic ones very small - so far I have found them much more reliable too.
i agree that the smaller ones seem to be more reliable, but i have yet to have any major issues with the larger sized ones. i grabbed these because they were on clearance for $0.97 each and i couldn't pass that deal up! they will probably just sit in one of my "EDC drawers"
I picked up one of the large plastic S-biners in yellow from REI.
The gate retention seems very strong. Much stronger than they were when I first bought a smaller S-biner years ago.
Benchmade Griptilian. Fullsize, black, modified drop point, 154CM. Should be here in a few days.
Carried that combo for a while. Very lightweight and handy.
I like the old school carabiners, i took one of the $.99 ones and drilled holes, put rings threw, then the lobster claws for my keys and all. this way when you put the key in the ignition they don't fall all the way down a keep whacking you in the knee! but after finding this little one, i thought about getting a bunch of them and doing something similar, just cant find them, yet on the side it says goinggear.com i cant find them on there website, only those s-biners?? heres a couple pics
ill have to message them, if anyone knows anything let me know, TY,, JR..
It is very lightweight. In fact, I sort of feel like I'm missing something compared to what I was carrying. I keep catching myself grabbing another flashlight and knife and trying to shove them in my pockets as a backup. I am having trouble letting go and trusting my new combo, since my old setup served me so well. I do think that this new setup will server me so much better, though.
I bought the new combo because I wanted something much more lightweight. I started seeing a new lady (first one since my divorce) and every time I would go to her house, I would find myself emptying my pockets. I didn't want all my gear scratching her, poking her, or snagging her clothes. So, I've become a minimalist for pocket carry, but my bag is still loaded and in the car!
got myself a samsung galaxy ace.
yikes! where did you get the knurled copper pill fob? i simply MUST have one of those!
