Just received my Kitanica shorts today. :woohoo:

(Didn't do much more than try them on yet, then chucked them straight into the washing machine. Initial impression was very favorable, though. They'll probably dry overnight, but alas, I can't wear shorts to work.)

It's a very nice knife, especially for it's price point, but I won't be keeping it: it's not as small as I thought, as I intended it to be a backup knife. Keep an eye out on the BST if anyone's looking for a deal on one.

now THAT's really good-looking. Amazing level of detailing for such a modest price.
It looks MUCH better on your photos than on the factory pix.
    Enjoy! :)

Wow, that is one hot looking knife. At that price, I might need to get one. ;) How's the steel seem to hold up to use?
Also, could you share some pictures of the sheath?

Yes, it came with a kydex sheath. It fits so tight I'd probably break the ball chain before it let loose while wearing it as a neck knife. May have to modify...

I'll see if I can take a couple soon...

I'll try to do a reviewish write-up (with pics!) after I've used them for a while, but now, after two days, I like them very much. I do have a couple of small nitpicky issues, but I always do... E.g. I'd prefer the zippered pocket to have the zipper open the other way than it does and I think I'd prefer a zipper fly instead of snap buttons, but I'll see if I get used to them after a while. In any case, the fit is good and medium size fits my 35" waist with some room to spare. The length is also suitable for my shortish legs. 11" inseam, I think they said, but I haven't measured to check. Fabric looks and feels like it's durable, but is still fairly light and not too hot for summer use (and we have some +30C in the shade weather right now). Like I expected, the pockets are great and there are lots of them!

I also looked at their jackets some time ago and even corresponded briefly with Beej Cronin about the Mark I. He's a very nice guy and they are willing to do semi-custom stuff like tweaks to the fit and pocketry. E.g. I was dubious about the utility of PALS webbing on a jacket and he suggested that it could be replaced by a second chest pocket (identical to the other one), which would also make the jacket more symmetrical in look. In the end, I didn't order the jacket, because I felt it's too expensive to buy without being able to try one on first. But their willingness to chat with prospective customers left such a favorable impression, that I've been keeping an eye on them and ordered the shorts as soon as they came out. I'm happy I did.
