My core edc is a knife, defensive knife light
Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk
The core to me is my Knife and my wallet.
key chain... Fenix E05 3 mode, P38 opener, brass whistle, pill fob with aspirin
wallet...blood stopper gauze, 2x2 gauze, knuckle cloth band aid
G43 + reload, Benchmade Ares axis lock
cell phone in Maxpedition holster
My EDC is all about the core, no frills here. As a man of limited means, I do not really have all that much to rotate.
On the other hand, there aren't many items I carry absolutely all the time. I guess the closest I come would be my keyring, although when I go for a run, I only take my house key.
Then come phone (Sony Xperia Z1 Compact), wallet and knife (Victorinox Pioneer). In that order.
I have a few different knives that I could rotate through. However, I always end up carry the one Buck-Strider SBMF that I've carried for years. Other than that; wallet, phone and keys is about it. I also have a small Fenix flashlight but I usuallt don't bother with it because honestly I rarely use it when I do carry it.
I'm pretty minimalist on my EDC.
My items are pretty basic: cash (paper and coins), keys, wallet, knife, multitool, pen, flashlight, phone.
Work days it expands.
My core EDC would have to be my Schrade auto knife. After that it’d be my phone, Oakley sunglasses and my wallet. Anything and everything else rides in my bag.
My core EDC (pocket carry) includes:
Smartphone (iPhone 5S right now)
Big Skinny bifold wallet
Keychain with Nite Ize doohicky, Acme Tornado whistle, EDC pen (I think it is by Leeds, got it on eBay years ago but can't find it anymore)
Leatherman Style PS
Buck 525 pen knife
Nite Ize XS flashlight
Parker T-ball Jotter in stainless for work pen
In my backpack I carry a small FA kit, a small trauma kit, a case with charging cords and power bank, a small headlamp, and one of those disposable ponchos.
From left to right;
1. Dumb phone.
I also have an iPhone but it basically stays at home, this has charge when I need it too.
Holds important cards and some cash
3. Opinel no7
Works well, sharp and weighs nothing.
House key, car key, gym tag, tag thingo to get out of pockets easier and small olight.
This sorts me most of the time, for work I have additionals I add and a bag I’ll use but this is the core of it.
I heard that Nokia was bringing that one out. How are you liking it?

I actually like it, it just works and I can get on the internet if I really need to, I find myself reading more books and just doing more useful stuff rather than screwing around on the internet.
My iPhone 5 now just stays at home without a sim...basically a small iPad Air.

Phone, pen, notebook, light, knife and credentials.
Maybe my Macbook and my Zoom audio recorder.
Might not be the type of answer you're looking for, but my skills and experience are the core of my EDC.
As far as gear goes, I pretty much always carry a pen, a multi-tool, a flashlight and a pistol and wear a watch.
“The more you know, the less you carry.”
There is a lot of wisdom in that.
Ive been trimming down my carry lately, it just got too cumbersome and redundant.
I’m down to a knife, flashlight, watch, wallet notepad and pen + firearm/spare mag when applicable.
Everything else went to my edc bag which was also downsized from a maxpedition falcon 2 to a small drawstring bag.

That has been my experience too.
The usual watch, phone etc but the core is a strong folding knife, strong fixed blade, flashlight, FAK and a handgun (where permitted).

My core (= on-person) EDC consists of keyring and small pack of paper handkerchief/tissues (as listed here).
Added when I leave home: wallet, smartphone, watch, bandana with Nitril glooves, and an EDC pouch (contains an URIEL trauma dressing, some meds, desinfect wipe, bandaids, small pack of matches and an micro USB cable).
Basecap & sunglasses, plus a jacket and other clothing related to weather.
